 this is what I always say!!! like I love claude debussy, opera, classical, etc...but I also like nicki minaj. some songs are meant to be catchy and sell, sell, sell. not all have to make you give a standing ovation or shed a tear

 

Exactly, I don't go to the parties to listen to Rolling and the Deep. I love those type of songs, but I like those songs that don't have a meaning either. Cuz it fun.

That's why I like Nicki Minaj, her most popular songs are so fun to sing/rap/dance to. She has some nice semi-meaningful songs too.

If I may jump in,I do see what you're all saying about music that's just for fun, but at least for me there is a point when the lyrics get too stupid or irritating to even be enjoyable on a basic level. Examples I would give are Anaconda and All about that bass, which are both irredeemably terrible songs in my eyes.

All About the Bass is actually supposed to be meaningful, its about the fact that no matter what size you are you are beautiful.

Ufotable, who animated UBW, is known for their high quality animation and huge stacks of cash. Some communities refer to the anime as "Unlimited Budget Works."

 

Same with Kill La Kill, SAO, and AoT.

 

Kill la Kill is riddled with poor plot, poor character development, and poor animation.

 

SAO had the first few episodes going for it, but then it spiraled into despair when it changed into Kirito's Harem Online. Asuna was poorly done as well, turning into a weak character who relies on Kirito, when before she was introduced as a badass.

 

Attack on Titan was alright, but it didn't bring much new to the table, except for the animation. Mediocre is a good way of putting it.

I have yet to see klk but i think the tits art is nicei like the first season of sao, but the first few eps of season 2 lost me so i never finished thatas for snk, i read up to book 9 or so but stopped. idk i just got bored and frustrated because i had too many unanswered questions. also i honestly dont like any of the characters e_e

Haven't seen Kill la Kill either, so can't say anything. Hiroyuki Sawano does make some good tracks though.

SAO was meh, with its addition of useless things and the ruinings of characters. I still haven't finished SAO II, but what I have seen is better than the first one, imo. Haven't read any of the novels, either, so who knows what the hell is up in that super-long arc.

If you look at just the SnK anime, it's decent (at best). But if you look at everything in the manga... I've felt like it's had its ups and downs, but it feels like the rollercoaster track is being built as we're going along the ride. With each new chapter, I end up questioning what the heck just happened. Adding four new questions for every old answer doesn't help things either.

 

...Speaking of manga going all weird, this last arc of Bleach has felt... well, kinda like SnK It just feels like half of what's going on doesn't make much sense.

I agree with you that the song was suppose to be uplifting, the problem is that Megan trips over herself with the message by making the subtext of -some "skinny" shaming and making bottom types acceptable to guys. In addition to the Infamous "Skinny Bitches" line, other things I didn't like was the stupid "baby voice" vocals, another line that was exclaiming that it is unacceptable to her if your into " stick figure silicon Barbie dolls"( which screams hyper obliviousness and obnoxiousness). Over all the message is less and less positive the more you listen.

 

Also minor nitpick, for a title called "All about that Bass", could I'd have more Bass then a drowned out bass guitar?

The line referring to silicone barbie dolls is to those who want women to be completely perfect and flawless which can only be achieved through plastic surgery. Hence, silicone barbie dolls. I don't see whats bad about that, it sucks that some girls just need to remake themselves to please others and that can easily backfire. Plus she is saying you are beautiful just as you are, so no need to go do that.

They think their soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo superior to everyone. But yet, they act like retards. They call games that aren't on Nintendo systems glitchy and terrible. Although they never played them. They agree with all terrible choices Nintendos makes. Like that youtube Nintendo lets play agreement. They think all Nintendo games are great, although they are rehashs or terrible games, like Mario 3D World, Smash Bros, Zelda and Kirby. They easily get angry when someone don't likes a Nintendo game. Websites like Nintendo life and SmashBoards are horrible. There's tons of stupid Nintendrones on those sites. Especially the mod called "theblackdragon" F*** THEBLACKDRAGON!!!!!!!!!! I HOPE HER GUTS WILL BE EATEN BY RACCONS WHILE HER EYES WILL BE RAPED BY CROWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  They would rather play rehashs of NSMB instead of of brilliant games, like Dragon Age and GTA 5. I hope they all burn in hell.

I legitimately, no-bullshit think that Nicholas Cage is a good actor. He's been in some shit movies, absolutely, and he either needs a new agent or really needs to consider his roles better, but outside of a few infamously wacky scenes (I'm looking at you, Wicker Man) he's a more than competent performer in pretty much everything he's in.

I legitimately, no-bullshit think that Nicholas Cage is a good actor. If you put him in good movies and he is a good actor , you put him in bad movies, well he is memorable at least. Unfortunately, those stinkers do hurt him and Hollywood financially and many directors don't want a box office bomb associated with Nicolas due to his reputation. It's not exactly a brand of quality assurance to be part of a cast with infamous actors like him. Man to be His agent is for to be a crappy job. Probably break a record for how many times you'd get hung up on the phone by casting agencies just by mentioning you work with Mr.Cage.

I know that we're all supposed to respect opinions and all, but generalizing a massive fanbase because of a few interactions you've had with a small minority isn't really the way to go about shaping your opinions on them. Nintendo's my favorite company, but I still play games on other systems. I deserve punishment for preferring New Super Mario Bros to other games? Also, Nintendo's games aren't all rehashes. They almost always add in something new to shake up the formula. Take Smash Bros Wii U. I can't even explain how much 8 Player Smash has affected my Smash group's meetings, since we spend a ton of time playing that almost every time we meet. The new characters, with the exception of two, all have really cool and unique playstyles, and the new stages are all really cool and inventive. In the case of 3D World... Well, I honestly can't see how it can be called a rehash. The only other game that used a similar style was 3D Land, and 3D World basically took that game and made it a lot better. Not to mention New Super Mario Bros adds in 4 player co-op, which is a ton of fun.

 

Also, as I said before, it's a matter of opinion. Personally? I can't stand Grand Theft Auto. I respect that there are people who do like it, though, and don't wish horrible eternal punishments upon them for preferring it over games like Xenoblade. Also, you only mentioned a few Nintendo games, when really, there are a ton of Nintendo franchises that go under the radar for most gamers. Xenoblade and Fire Emblem are perfect examples of really original, more thought-provoking games that Nintendo has released. I'm not saying you have to change your opinion here, I'm just asking that you take a look at the other side and respect our opinions, as well as stop generalizing all of us because of a few bad eggs.

As in horror games with legit Final Fantasy-style RPG mechanics? I honestly don't know how many of those even exist. I haven't played them. I think Parasite Eve is supposed to be one of them, but if that's what you're talking about I could understand why they wouldn't be all that scary. RPGs really aren't a suitable gampley style for horror. They're supposed to be about growing stronger, which is counterproductive to how horror is supposed to make you feel uncertain or helpless.

I meant more the sort of overhead pixelated style of characters and world, as well as the style of story usually used for the characters.
