DragonMaster 1,166 Posted February 25, 2015 (edited) Haters of Frozen have become far, far more annoying than the fanboys/girls ever were to me. Though, I really wish both sides would just shut up. It was a cute children's movie that happened to get really popular. It wasn't the best movie ever, not even the best Disney movie. But it also wasn't objectively horrible. What is horrible are the people who don't stop talking about Frozen and the people who feel the need to comment that they hate the movie every time it's mentioned. EDIT: And I don't care if it is overrated, "Let it Go" is a good song. So is "For the First Time in Forever", but I've never seen hate for that one. The haters say it sucks and it shouldn't be doing this or that. Just because someone doesn't like something, that doesn't mean others don't like it at all. The haters are just annoying in the fact they only (or mostly) hate the movie because its popular. And because of that, they act like it doesn't deserve popularity. Its a Disney Princess movie that has a stupidly high box office, they will try to make more money off of it like they always do with princess merchandises. 3 DragonMaster, Dracozombie and Robbie the Wise reacted to this
Dracozombie 4,554 Posted February 25, 2015 There's a presumptuousness to calling anything "overrated." Anything that a lot of people like will be considered overrated, so guess what guys? You don't get to decide what deserves popularity or doesn't. You just can't stand the fact a lot of people enjoy something that you don't. There's a difference between not liking something, and being baffled why so many other people do. 1 Shana09 reacted to this

There's a difference between not liking something, and being baffled why so many other people do. And the fact that people hate things that are popular just because they are popular is just stupid. They don't really have an opinion on the matter, and if they do, they'll just stem it out the "its overrated" complaint. Its like trying to be special snowflakes going around saying it every single time something they find overrated. Like dislike something for a reason like "I didn't like the story" etc.? Sure thats fine. But if you're the person just saying it to justify why you think its overrated, that's not fine. 1 Dracozombie reacted to this

Dracozombie 4,554 Posted February 27, 2015 Not really an unpopular opinion but more of a question...Was 50 Shades of Grey really that bad? (haven't read or seen) Haven't read or seen it either, but from what I can gather, it's supposed to be sexy but its characters and dialogue and (allegedly) hilariously wrong interpretations of BDSM make it the exact opposite of sexy. In other words, it failed at its one job. I guess a lot of folks don't like how a poorly-written Twilight AU porn fanfic managed to make millions. Normally I don't like judging whether something deserves popularity, but this is one of those specific cases where I just don't know what people are thinking... (haven't read or seen) It was literally a reskinned Twilight fanfiction, so take that for what you will. There was a hilarious blog my sister sent me ages ago that someone did with the original book where they wrote down what they thought about each chapter after reading it and picking apart everything that was wrong with it, and that would probably be the only reason you should know anything about the plotline.EDIT: Just found it, and it's still as funny as I remembered. LOLOLOL but yeah, apparently Christian is very abusive and ignores safewords (!!!!! gurrrrrrl....)Idk like if it REALLY DOES represent the BDSM community in a negative, and totally-incorrect light, then I wish it weren't as popular as it was...ALSO I'm curious if it was like an actual movie, or a porn? Like they didn't show anything besides boobies...right?

Like they didn't show anything besides boobies...right? It apparently suffers from a lot of the same complaints Twilight gets (unsurprising considering Fifty Shades's source material), primarily how they both attempt to make romance out of what many readers consider an abusive relationship. I don't know how well or not it represents the BDSM community, so I'll take the words of the people who're actually in the know that the representation sucks. I'm pretty sure if the movie was porn it wouldn't be advertised like it was mainstream. Gilbert Gottfried is the only appropriate voice for that book. 1 Ghost reacted to this

Huh...yeah I kinda lost faith in the world when I heard 10 year olds knowing more about the reproductive system when I was their age ; ^ ; And heheh, yeah, I just wish he did the entire thing. Or in Kermit's voice omg, THEN I'd haveto buy it on audiobook 1 Dracozombie reacted to this

Lol, you're not exactly alone here. Ufotable, who animated UBW, is known for their high quality animation and huge stacks of cash. Some communities refer to the anime as "Unlimited Budget Works." Same with Kill La Kill, SAO, and AoT. Kill la Kill is riddled with poor plot, poor character development, and poor animation. SAO had the first few episodes going for it, but then it spiraled into despair when it changed into Kirito's Harem Online. Asuna was poorly done as well, turning into a weak character who relies on Kirito, when before she was introduced as a badass. Attack on Titan was alright, but it didn't bring much new to the table, except for the animation. Mediocre is a good way of putting it. 3 Emrys, Robertofum and Charleskt reacted to this

Not all songs have to have a meaning you know. this is what I always say!!! like I love claude debussy, opera, classical, etc...but I also like nicki minaj. some songs are meant to be catchy and sell, sell, sell. not all have to make you give a standing ovation or shed a tear 1 Shana09 reacted to this
