DragonMaster 1,166 Posted August 6, 2014 (edited) So there's this song, and I don't know what the title or band is (not the point I'm trying to make) and part of the lyrics is the phrase "I would rather feel pain than nothing at all". Not me. NO. Screw that. If my choices are feeling only pain, or not being able to feel anything, then I'd go with not feeling anything. This goes for physical and mental (nvm, Queen Tery made me reconsider) feeling. Seriously, sometimes I feel like I'm going to snap and become one of those psycho-recluse-hate-the-world people due to pain. Luckily, I've got other feelings that allow me to pull through. If all I could ever feel was pain, life wouldn't be worth living. I know I'm just taking those lyric too seriously, but I just find them so completely stupid. Basically it's saying then you couldn't feel love, passion, happiness, anything at all. It's kinda like you can't have light without darkness. In that sense, I agree with the lyrics. As people I think we take feelings for granted because we've always had them. Btw, the song is Pain by Three Days Grace. 2 Bearanort and DragonMaster reacted to this
Yuya Sakaki 5,212 Posted August 6, 2014 But saying that women fight bad isnt true Ive seen many amazing women (irl and tv) fight well. Yes, men are stronger than women (for the most part, dont deny that you could take down a lanky guy if you wanted to), but that doesnt mean they fight BAD.edit: adding more, its all about skill and technique. in a MMA fight with two women of the same weight class, the one with more skill will kick the ones ass who doesnt know what the hell theyre doing. against men it would probably be shit, if only to knock them down and then get to run away (if, god forbid, hes with you in an alley and that second of him on the ground is precious), but hey, there was this girl in my old mma class who kicked my ass every day. also, thats implying that every man is strong. there were at least two men there with not very much muscle mass (im not saying its a bad thing, you men are beautiful regardless of massscles) and she was able to make them tap out.assuming youre using submissions and takedowns, you could still have a chance of breaking a mans neck, arm, ripping a tendon, or even just choking him if not, knock him to the ground and run away, find your nice strong male friends, and youre set ^_^so yep women are by nature just physically weaker than men, but that doesnt mean they fight badly You are actually totally right. To back up your argument: my older brother goes rock climbing. And he once saw this girl and according to him she was pretty tiny. Now my brother (and I) are pretty tall. So him seeing this unknown woman tackling what I think was a harder climb than my brother could handle was impressive! She may have been tiny, but what she lacked in size she made up for in technique. And that's what you need in rock climbing: technique. That's solid proof that technique is what you need, not strength. Sure, strength is helpful, but without technique... well you pretty much can't do anything Actually I've noticed that with females. They may be lacking in strength compared to males but their technique is often superior. THE BALANCE MUST BE MAINTAINED!!! Peace!
DragonMaster 1,166 Posted August 6, 2014 (edited) Basically it's saying then you couldn't feel love, passion, happiness, anything at all. It's kinda like you can't have light without darkness. In that sense, I agree with the lyrics. As people I think we take feelings for granted because we've always had them. Btw, the song is Pain by Three Days Grace. (Thanks for the song info. I thought it might be Three Days Grace, but I wasn't sure. Had no clue on the title though.) I'll admit, I hadn't considered it from exactly that angle. But I think, as one who has experienced both pain and the opposite, I would be able to still be happy without pain. Though, if unable to feel pain, would that not mean you couldn't be unhappy with your life, considering that unhappiness could be considered a type of pain... Basically, to not feel emotional pain would make us Nobodies... I suppose I cannot truly comment one way or the other then, not having been able (nor, likely will I ever be able to) experience the opposite. I therefore retract my statement on the mental pain. Thanks for giving me that to consider. I stand by the physical pain aspect, though. Going on the basis that my options are to only feel pain and nothing else, or nothing. Maybe it's just because I've been living with ever-present sharp pains for months now (due to a foot condition). Tigerruss 576 Posted August 6, 2014 (edited) I suggest to end the "you hit like a girl" talk by making the phrase change to "You hit like Princess Peach getting kidnapped by Bowser." DragonMaster 1,166 Posted August 6, 2014 Oh, just thought of another one. I hate drinking any kind of milk other than skim. Everything else is just too think. Combine the thickness with the flavor and it honestly disgusts me. I can tolerate the lower fat milks when eating cereal, but drinking them is gross. Cyber Shaman 990 Posted August 8, 2014 I don't like how when people mention Naruto, Bleach, or One Piece as an example, its always used as a way to negatively compare it to other animes. Hell even seeing the title gives me a negative thought like "Damn this show is shit" because of these negative mentions. They just give you a bad impression of the shows for some reason. I hope I'm not the only one feeling this. 3 Weedanort, Bearanort and Dracozombie reacted to this

DragonMaster 1,166 Posted August 8, 2014 I even saw a person saying that One Piece is a better SteamPunk anime than Fullmetal Alchemist .-. I never want to meet this person. Neither of them are really even that steampunk to begin with (and FMA is moreso, between the two). 1 Weedanort reacted to this

Bearanort 788 Posted August 9, 2014 (edited) Speaking of anime, I find it sad that the most overhyped shows such as Attack On Titan and Sword Art Online gets the most trash talk and has a lot of haters. I even saw one person said that they were watching SAO just to trash talk about it. I mean sure, these shows might not be for you, but you don`t to hate on it wherever you go. There`s no logic in this. Edited August 9, 2014 by Bearanort
MyDixieRect 2,061 Posted August 9, 2014 OK guys this will be very unpopular because I know how much we all hate her, and I can't blame you, I mean god she's such a pain, ugh! She smells bad too. But even though I know I mock her a lot, Shana is indeed very awesome. 1 Cyber Shaman reacted to this
