Shulk 8,623 Posted February 2, 2014 I hate hate hate hate HATE how the Attack on Titan fanbase feels like it needs to reskin ANYTHING to its own show. For example, I was watching a Game Grumps animation once because I like watching those. At the end, for absolutely no reason, it did an Attack on Titan parody that had NOTHING to do with the animation at all. It just makes me mad that they can't seem to go without having EVERYTHING redone in Attack on Titan style.

Paranoia 494 Posted February 3, 2014 What's the difference from being sexist and nice anymore? To me, it seems that 'nice' has become a grey area depending from person to person. I hold the door for women, and elderly people. I will give up my seat on a bus for a pregnant woman, or an elderly person. /That's how I was raised./ To give respect toward women for who they are, and the same goes for, once again, elderly people. Now, those two groups are not the same in my mind, but they are to be respected just the same. The only thing I expect from doing anything for anybody is a simple 'Thank you' from that person. If I hold the door open for a woman, it is not an attempt to get into her pants, or anything related to that. I'll go "Here ya go" and smile as I hold the door and whether or not I get the thank you, I go on my way. Of course I'm a little bummed for not getting the verbal gratitude if I don't, but whatever. A nice gesture should be met with a sign of gratitude, whether it's lending someone money, or holding the door for them. That's all gestures like that are to me. /Nice gestures./ Not as a sign of inequality because I'm a big, strong man holding the door for a weak, insignificant female. I know how it is to have someone not hold the door for me and I know how inconsiderate I felt that person was. I dunno how to put the rest of how I feel about this issue, but I've seen examples of things like this, and this is the opinions thread, so here;s mine. That's how I feel, and I feel like I can't be nice to anyone without being called some sort of extreme name over a simple nice gesture. People these days are too self-conscience that someone is out to screw them, take advantage of them. And it really mucks it up for the decent human beings who are just trying to be nice. (This was not the intention, but I'm just waiting for a flame war over this.) 6 _The Door To Light_, Jilly Shears, Demyx. and 3 others reacted to this

Though I agree with most of this however (highlighted by the bold part) this is what I actually hate about these type of people or those who claim they are 'nice guys' but are not actually nice. There are people who get so pissy because they hold the door for someone and that person didn't give them a bj right on the spot. Its annoying also because they don't admit they are the ones who are wrong and not the people they think are wrong because they didn't sleep with them when the person gave the girl a pencil when she needs one at the moment. This isn't to you though, this is to the people who are "nice" but not really nice. (This was not the intention, but I'm just waiting for a flame war over this.) I totally get what you are saying . I think we should always be courteous whether it is to a female or a male. ( or just anyone who looks like they need assistance). Holding doors isn't always sexist bc I do it for guys and girls .( and a lot of people do the same ). A person can be nice and assist others and not be sexist. If everyone thought to be more helpful and kind all of society could benefit from it and it could help peoples' relations and how they interact as a whole. The only negative issue is people who do it looking for something in return , and they are not representing everyone as a whole . I would like this but I'm temporarily quota 4 Demyx., Paranoia, Kishira and 1 other reacted to this

I suspect, regardless of which gender is doing it to which, you're secretly thought of as an awful awful human being if you don't hold the door. College is traumatizing. But it really does suck that people constantly look for hidden guns where they don't exist and are so mistrustful as a result.
Shulk 8,623 Posted February 4, 2014 As someone who loves Kingdom Hearts, I'll say that Square is slowly becoming the next Capcom, if they haven't already. I think that the Square half of Square Enix forgot how to treat their franchises properly ages ago (Crappy mobile phone ports, constant sequels to games that no one asked for such as X-3, etc.). Kingdom Hearts is the only thing keeping me going for them anymore. 1 Bearanort reacted to this

Though I am a bit excessive with door holding, most people hold it open for people 3-6 feet behind them, while I hold it open for anyone who at their current pace will get to the door before it completely closes. I do that just because I feel like it would be annoying to have the door shut just as I am arriving at it.
