OK, fine, let me compare this bowl of spaghetti to itself, that makes sense. 1 Lalalablah reacted to this

I think she came close but since it wouldn't be disney to suddenly include such serious elements he was turned human before they starting making the babies I assume there's babies. I never watched it, but my brother dumbed the plot down by saying "Its some witch who was pissed that she wasn't invited to a party"? Is it really like that because then I would watch it. No spoilers by the way.

Basically that is the driving force for the rest of the movie considering what she does after not being invited at the start, but I think it's a good movie, my mother says when I was really young (where I don't remember) that it was my favourite movie, I always had it on

dusk 910 Posted August 7, 2013 I honestly dislike the way how you can be anyone you want behind usernames in internet. It is just horrible how some people behave. Like I am completely fed up with little pricks who act like total douchebags all the time just because they know that no one can actually reach them and most of time there is no sanctions for what they have said or done. Like lately popular Ask.FM site resulted 14 years old girls death. Why? because some people who thought they were "funny" told her to kill herself. Seriously. Most of the people would not say same things if you were to act with your real name and face. Like I am seriously done with internet for while. 8 Shana09, Ruby, Lalalablah and 5 others reacted to this

RoxSox 3,593 Posted August 8, 2013 People who compare Twilight and Harry Potter. There is no comparison. Stop. It's not that "Oh Twilight sucks and is worse then HP" it's more "Twilight is no where the same league as HP, and so the two should not ever be compared." Twilight and the Hunger Games, yeah, I can see that comparison. Both of them have under five books in the series and both of them have aS love story driving the plot in addition to other arching plot factors. There's actually comparison there. Twilight and Harry Potter... no. There are twice as many books in the series. The driving point is not a love story. Nothing can really be compared here.. what, it's fantasy? That's not enough. And don't think I'm hating on Twilight here, (even though it sucks), I'm just saying that I think there are different leagues of things. I wouldn't even really compare Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings, because I don't think they're comparable. Lord of the Rings has more content in it then the firetrucking Bible, really. It's not really even a story so much as an entire effing mythology. Harry Potter is fantastic, but it doesn't go that far. So yeah. Know the boundaries of what should be compared. 3 Ghost, Ruby and Shana09 reacted to this

And then they blame YOU for getting all worked up and if you take anything anyone says over the internet seriously, you're automatically butthurt and have no life. Never mind that a living, breathing human being (though I use the term loosely) bothered to type the thing at all, which was read by another living, breathing human being. Oh well, I guess feelings and basic decency don't matter because it's not like anything you type has any kind of consequences, and anyone who gets worked up over it just needs to stop being pussies. 8 Col.Random, dusk, griann and 5 others reacted to this

And then there's the mindset that if you're hurt by words, it's your fault, not the speaker's. Sometimes it's true because people do overreact, and it can be lulzworthy, but I believe in personal accountability. If someone's getting worked up, are they really just a pussy, or are you just a dick? Or both. 1 Shazzam reacted to this

DragonMaster 1,166 Posted August 10, 2013 I honestly hate the way that supposedly "higher level classes" are operated. (Note: This is based off my experience, maybe you were fortunate and had a better one.) The purpose of taking an Honors course is that it is supposed to be accelerated, more challenging, and better suited for "smarter" students. In reality, they fail at achieving this. Instead of creating work that makes you think on a deeper level, these classes end up just shoving a bunch of extra work on you and call it challenging. That isn't challenge, that is pointless stress. The work also isn't very different from what the lower levels get, there is just simply more of it. In the same line of thinking, rushing through lessons in an attempt to get through the material faster isn't the same thing as "accelerated learning". You should not be giving gimped versions of lessons and making the students figure things out mostly for themselves. Even the "smart kids" need help and guidance in order to actually learn something. Leaving students in the dark is not the kind of challenge these classes are supposed to give you. How about this. Instead of giving the Honors kids three books to read because "lol challenge", just have them read the one book you gave to the normal class. But instead of giving them the assignment to "pick ten quotes as you read and explain their significance", maybe give a prompt like this: "Throughout the book Joshua makes a number of bad decisions and is forced to face the consequences. Give four examples of Joshua's mistakes and explain the consequences they caused. Do you think these consequences were justified? Why? Give a different way Joshua could have acted in these events, and explain how this would have affected the overall outcome." (Just a random example I made, I don't have a particular book in mind). So that way, we don't get stuck doing the same assignment for three different books. We read the same book as everyone else, but have to dig deeper into it. I feel like I could type another paragraph or two, but this post is already getting big. I think you guys get the point, though. 5 darkchaser, Crisp Cucumber, Ghost and 2 others reacted to this

That sounds like a terrible arrangement for honors classes o.o The advanced classes I take do different, more advanced assignments than the rest of the on level classes, because that's the whole point of the class! There is more work though, which I don't see a reason for either. Just give us more critically thinking questions that require us to think harder, not longer. When I made the switch from Gifted classes to Honors/AP (since my highschool doesn't offer gifted -_-) I recognized a huge change. 1 DragonMaster reacted to this
