The Unpopular Opinions Thread

I think it's really weird when people take a picture of their reflection in the mirror, like come on...just flip that camera around

I get it if they want to take a picture of the entire body to show off what they are wearing or for other matters, but if its the face just flip it around. It even gets worse, there is a camera on both sides of the current iPhone and the Samsung (not sure about any other phones). Like why do you need a mirror if you can just press the button to go to the camera which is in front of your phone and then take the picture.

Nothing makes me want to punch somebody more than when I get a message on Facebook saying "hey whats up ((:" and I respond with "Nothing much, you?" and don't get a GODDAMNED REPLY.

like BITCH you were the one who messaged me in the first place.

I hate it when someone says "k".

I'm not sure how to respond to "k" or anything.

What the firetruck do you mean "k"?

I remember when some people called me a tsundere and a yandere just when I say something. I mostly hate it when people overuse it so much, I get if its in the anime but some people are like "ohmegursh im such a yand3r3/tsund3r31!!11!1" and it really gets annoying.

Also unpopular opinion here, I feel that Western television (Game of Thrones, Doctor Who, The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, and Legend of Korra currently) shows are much better than Anime, even as a person who watched anime for a while. After I got into better western shows 2 - 3 years ago I noticed how more amazing, complicating and fun they are and how much better they are than to Anime.

Kinda agree. I only find few Animes such as Death Note and Code Geass to be better than live TV series

Well, quite often, the camera on the front has really shit quality(mine does at least). Aside from that, I've often tried turning the camera around and it always either has a very crappy close up or I can't figure out what angle to take the photo from since I can't see the camera.

With mirror shots I can at least tell which angle is best

Code Geass and Death Note are good animes. uwu I also like Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni series and Clannad series. They are good, but shows like GoT, TWD, Breaking Bad etc. are much better for me, I mean I cried in GoT and I never actually done that before. Even after watching Clannad and Clannad After Story I didn't cry. xD

I have an Android and a iPod touch and they look the same. Imo most pictures I or someone takes of me look weird to me so I don't like them.

Idk how many of you are gonna agree with me or not, I mean of course this place has its ups and downs but I really wish more forums were like this one.

I like how close-knit it is here, in comparison to let's say, (and I'm not doing any forum bashing here) Zelda Dungeon. Don't get me wrong that place is great and run even greater, the staff's nice and all but it's missing something. It's one of those places where you're not close with anybody unless you agree with all of the popular opinions and comment on every single thing even if you're just saying "well I think that ____".

imo my favourite forums are here, and the ones in certain sections on IMVU. Yes every place has their flaws but I just felt comfortable in both and and IMVU the second I signed up.

Seriously! I type a huge paragraph to help create a convo after THEY ask "what's up?" and all they can say is "lol." I swear it makes me want to offer them as a seat to the elephant at the zoo.But yeah I don't reply either.

I hate it when people complain about an anime's dub. As someone who did this at one point, I've realized that the main reason for this is because some people are too clingy too the Japanese voices, and unless the dub sounds EXACTLY the same, they won't like it. As a result, they never give a dub the chance to actually decide if it's good or not. Not all cases are like this, but it kinda bugs me. There are a lot of great dubs out there, and they seem to get blindly bashed all the time.

Yeah! And sometimes, I actually prefer the dub over the original Japanese version!

I think there's also a preference for subs because, with anime being in a language you can't understand, we can't measure the quality of the voice acting.  We here in the western world are spoiled by big-name professional voice actors doing their thing, whereas dubs for anime usually have to pick from actors lower in the totem pole.  And because we're fluent English speakers, we're better able to tell how a lot of dubs are mediocre at best and just plain awful at worst.  Not so with Japanese--we hear it and just assume it's good, since we don't know any better, unless you speak fluent Japanese.  There's also how companies doing the dubbing may or may not be a little... liberal with their script changes and censorship.

Add that to a mindset of how all Japanese media is superior to western media, and you got weeaboos crying for their subs.

Whoa, you really put it into perspective. I just thought I liked some voices and not others but yeah, that makes plenty of sense.

I usually like the dub more. I honestly think that the original Japanese voices are all kinda cliche honestly (Villains always have that dark ominous voice, main character is either monotone or shouts a lot, main female always has a super high pitched voice, etc.)

That's a really good point. I still think that the weeaboos are a majority of the dub haters, a lot of them seem to blindly bash English voice acting without even caring to see an episode or two of the series. I honestly think that a lot of the dub voice actors don't get the credit they deserve, though. They do a fantastic job of bringing their characters to life, in my opinion.

The only good thing about Skyward Sword is the music, side quests, and the background characters. Oh and Ghirahim.

The music in Skyward Sword is good, but not great. There are Zelda games with better music, for example Twilight Princess and ALttP.

Kuja's English voice in Dissidia really wasn't that bad so stop bitching.

Advent Children was good.

I love One Piece and Bleach is alright, but those long-ass animes need to fücking stop.
