Unrelated~ But I really don't like a lot of older media (specifically western cartoons)

I mean first off is the demographic type thing. Little boys are expected to like action-y superhero stuff,

while little girls had... friendship, love, and pink?

I love the three of those things,but I feel like "girl" cartoons have kinda given feminine a weird definition?

Like classic My Little Pony. It had vapid characters and next to no plot.

Another thing that I hated about older kid shows was that it often felt like the mindset was

...Well for my unpopular opinion I actually really really really don't want a new system. (Well okay maybe this is popular) I don't know, the PS3 and Xbox are still pretty..."new" to me. I mean obviously the Wii isn't, since Nintendo can't come up with any new ideas to save their company, but eh. I reaaaaaaaaaaaally do not want to by the new play station or Xbox. I don't care how amazing some of the games look I just *really* do not want it.But since my brother's a spoiled brat and won't listen to a word I say when I tell him not to get my of the new systems because they're gonna suck, he'll probably whine about it to my parents anyways. Aaaaaand one more year til I get to move out.

Honestly, I feel like it's come to the point where there's not really a solid reason to have new consoles every 6 years or so when really the only reason to buy one is for BETR GRAPHIX and whatever. I also have a strange feeling that with this coming generation of consoles, we're going to reach the uncanny valley pretty quickly.

Oh geez. Pokemon fanbase right here. Either "Gen 1 is the best all others suck olololol" or "The old Pokemon sucks only the newest ones are the best olololol", and then really dumb arguments ensue. This is why I hate a lot of the Pokemon fanbase, even though I'm a huge fan of the series myself. It's not impossible to like both, guys.

You can't mention which Pokemon gens you like the most without people getting all pissy about it... "OMG U GENWUNNER" "OMG U LITTLE KID" KH and FF have a lot of that too, but Pokemon definitely gets the most of it, which is why I try to avoid associating myself with its fanbase... Heck, I've been downvoted/flagged for spam on Youtube trying to tell people that there's no point in argument because the old and new gens are both good.

I find its really stupid that people throw a fit over a certain game going on consoles other than ps3.

For example:

"Omg why is Final Fantasy Xiii going on the xbox? Xbox sucks and it should only be om the ps3 because ps3 is better than the Xbox and anyone playing it on the xbox sucks".

 

I could not give any two shits about the new baseball stadium being made in el paso. In fact it's a terrible idea because there's more to worry about than a firetruckn baseball stadium

 

Kingdom Hearts is still a good game.

 

Yu yu Hakusho is a perfect anime.

I honestly really hate the idea of religion in general (not meaning to be offensive here), it causes disputes for no good reason sometimes

and it's such a complex issue.... I try to stay away from it,but it's liek everywhere and I wonder what it would be like if it didn't exist? I guess I'm not really one to believe in faith and all that. I believe in more... just going out yourself and doing it. >w<~(referring to praying o3o)

I kind of like the concept of religion, I guess? I mean, I think Christianity (among other religions) can be absolutely beautiful and there's something so sweet about giving your love to God (and I'm no Christian). It's just the misinterpretations of a religion's doctrine (but we're human, we're always bound to misinterpreting something or other) and the fact that its followers use it as an excuse to oppress/discriminate others are what get to me.

The only thing I like about religion is that it gives people something to believe in, something to hope for - and I think as humans we all need a little bit of that now and then, eh?

 

But I still cannot get into any religion. I like the idea but I just don't believe in anything, probably due to my lack of knowledge on religions. I signed up for a Worlds Religions class next year and if I'm lucky I'll land a spot!

What I like about religion is that it gives people hope, or at least something to achieve and better themselves (or at least that's how it should be, but like every fanbase ever there's a lot of bad apples) Personally, I just want to believe there's more to dying than just being shoved into a hole six feet underground and staying there for eternity in a state of...well, who knows.

I honestly am disappointed at people who try to make vegetarians eat meat. I'm vegetarian, and my own PARENTS try to force me to eat meat everyday. Anyways, I hate how people are like, "Well, you're stupid. Meat provides proteins." No. I'm doing it for the animals, not my own well being.

it doesnt even matter why youre doing it, its your businessi dont eat red meat and i do that FOR ME not even for the animals, its for my own healtha persons eating habits shouldnt be judged or shamed and should only be the concern of others when it is an eating disorder

I usually get jokes when I bring up I'm a vegetarian, but sometimes people are too surprised. Everyone begins to interrogate me asking "Why are you a vegetarian?", "Have you ever tasted chicken in your life?" and "CHICKEN IS THE BEST HOW DO YOU NOT LIKE IT". Some even plan stuff to take me to Wendy's or Taco Bell (because the food is obviously top notch for a beginner) for me to eat meat even though I hate it. I take it as a joke but a very few people take it as if I'm working for PETA. >>

 

 

Along with the religious thing...

 

I believe religious is a good concept, especially back then to control civilians to maintain order in our society. Also it gives people a lot more hope and confidence since they believe that a magical man is watching over them protecting them. I mean, as silly as it sounds, I rather feel safe from a magical white knight in shining armour than be scared and feel hopeless. Religion delivers it's purpose, even if some parts aren't what you agree with, because after all every religion isn't perfect. It's about the way you practice your religion, it's not the religions fault its the one who practices it if they harm another being. Even as an atheist I wont degrade someone just because they believe in a God. I mean I might say my opinion, but not hate on someone for believing in a higher being or an after life. I think most atheists should know that, since they go way too extreme so many times when trying to prove God doesn't exist when someone brings up they believe in a certain religion.
