hatok 6,413 Posted September 22, 2011 Well the KH team are sorta busy developing FF VS 13, which ive actually heard has finished in its development stages.(im actually looking a bit forward to FF VS 13) You're a little off. They JUT started full development. There's still a long ways to go.
Rob 5,571 Posted September 22, 2011 It came out in english speaking countries on January 11, 2011. I know when Re:Coded came out. You said a KH game out every year. Re:Coded came out last year. What happens overseas has nothing to do with Japan since the 1 game a year follows Japan.

keystrike 145 Posted September 23, 2011 In some sense of the word kh3d IS a filler. Its sole purpose in scope of the development of the xehanort saga is to be yet another game to keep us satisfied until kh3. Its existence likely popped into existence in a week or two's time between the two month gap between the bbs ultimania release and e3 2010. That said, kh com nearly parallels the situation in it being concieved after the orriginal main-er game, kh2, but look at how important and great of a game it turned out to be. Point is, it can be a filler game and still be incredibly important to the series, and so it isn't even right to complain about a "filler" game. You're still getting your important shiny new main game. What more do you want?

Filler implies that no new info is given, that is solely exists to fill up space (Thus 'filler') well from what i have read, FFvs13 reached 100% development on September 11, as Yoshinori Kitase said: “Type-0 and Versus XIII have of course advanced to 100% development power.” Ah, now I see what you're misunderstanding. He's saying that the games are at the point where they are using all their development power. Not that they are 100% complete.

Axtwyt 500 Posted September 23, 2011 Re:Coded is the only filler in Kingdom Hearts, because it gave all this gameplay and story just so that Mickey could write a letter. There's my rage out there.
Vorian_Rob 49 Posted September 23, 2011 Seriously dude? It takes place after KH2 and advances the story. They could easily call this Kingdom Hearts 3 and there would be no reason to contest it. I dont see why people complain about the "fillers" when in all actuality, they are fantastic games and bring a lot to the series. Not to mention the advances in combat systems alone. Nomura already said that there are only 2 games left before KH3 (DDD and BBSv2) so whats the use in complaining? I for one am excited for both games. bambii 34 Posted September 24, 2011 No complaints. All of them have been pretty fundamental to the plot, and I wouldn't consider any of them fillers (I mean, except for Re:Coded.. I mean come on, that game was a pile of junk). My only complaint is the fact that they have to put out a game on every imaginable console. Dear God, it's eating my wallet and depriving many lesser fans of a true appreciation of this incredible story.
Snow 1,800 Posted September 24, 2011 Fillers are best for plot holes and Sora does have yet to become a master. So yeah. and Re:Coded was a piece of firetrucking crap.

Unless, you know, Data Sora, Data Riku, or simply the data in general comes up again in the story.
marly2 20 Posted September 24, 2011 the problem with the side games is ..... making more KH fans. More KH fans, more angry fans.....
Kelvy 60 Posted September 24, 2011 As long as the game adds to the general Kingdom Hearts plot overall, I wouldn't consider it a filler :].

Snow 1,800 Posted October 9, 2011 Because Tetsuya Nomura loves getting to 3rd base with our minds.
RoxaSoraXIII 40 Posted October 11, 2011 KH:DDD isn't filler. Nomura stated that it'll be a MAIN game, like KH and KH II, for example. Also, this game will work like Chains of Memories: It'll link two games (Chains of Memories linked KH with KH II and DDD will link II with KH III). The game will be crucial to understand KH III, so it's going to be a main game, okay?
razuthor72 89 Posted October 14, 2011 no offense but you are quite ignorant if you think DDD is a "filler". this game has repeatedly been called a main game in the series and essential to the series. its like people ragging on Re:Coded. that was an important game in the series and i dont care who thinks otherwise. its a direct sequal to KH2 and it showed the hurt that sora needs to help heal. and you are kind of grasping for things to troll on if you dont like the 3DS's graphics. they are amazing almost better in some aspects to the PS2. i own a 3DS for the sole purpose of DDD so think twice before you call handheld games "fillers". animemylove 439 Posted October 14, 2011 we already established all of this .. it's not filler, it's events after kh2 and it will be the game that brings us into kh3. not much more to say in this thread.
