baylaust 2,531 Posted September 22, 2011 It's because the development team for KH III is busy making Final Fantasy Versus XIII right now. When that's done, KH III will be on its way. 1 SoraKH reacted to this

mistere_78 6 Posted September 22, 2011 When the game features the main protagonists of the series I don't consider it filler. 2 _The Door To Light_ and waytothexdawnx reacted to this
Oishii 3,987 Posted September 22, 2011 From SE's current situation, it's either don't make any KH games while developing Versus or make side games until Versus is done. I would rather have side games than nothing. 5 DChiuch, waytothexdawnx, Kishira and 2 others reacted to this
waytothexdawnx 1,159 Posted September 22, 2011 It's not a filler though. Nomura himself said it's a Main game. Crucial to the storyline because the ending is going to show you what's in store for KHIII. It also ties together almost all the other KH games. It's very important. 3 Aru Akise, _The Door To Light_ and Spectrum of Life reacted to this

Space Cowboy 1,392 Posted September 22, 2011 Even if Square Enix had the time to start production on KH3 right here, right now, they would have to include all of the mysteries that haven't been touched on (the ones that were supposed to be in DDD/BBSv2), which includes finding the data to rescue the tormented, Sora and Riku's MoM, etc. And then they'd have to add the final storyline in that game as well, do you know how long that'd take to make? A game with all of that content that needs to be covered could easily take 4-5 years minimum, BBS alone took around 4 and it was a firetrucking prequel. Just imagine how it would take to make the final game in the saga.. It would be better for what you call "filler" games to be released (besides Days, blargh) so we get a better understanding so they wouldn't have to explain it all in one game, which in turn lowers production time, which lowers the amount of time we have to wait. We are better off waiting for KH3, and not rushing it so it can be a quality game instead of a piece of shit that was thrown together at the last minute. 5 Kishira, waytothexdawnx, xxClouDxxmoon and 2 others reacted to this
riku1123 11 Posted September 22, 2011 if it takes up my time, makes the story even more crazy, and makes sure that KH3 is the best game ever, i might even say i like fillers, i think they do what they are meant to do, plus draw in more fans

KeyOfVentus 90 Posted September 22, 2011 Think of DDD as KH2.5 further than KH2 but not yet KH3. And Nomura said that he wants one kh game out a year, to keep the fans busy. So this year was RE: Coded, next year will be DDD and after that probably BBSV2, but since DDD is supposed to tell us what's going to be the main bridge to KH3, I'd rather have that. I'm not sure why people are complaining about the "fillers" so much. There were many plot holes that needed to be filled. Plus, because of VersesXIII, if we'd had KH3 it would've sucked ass cause the main team wouldn't have been working on it. As far as graphics goes, the 3DS is supposed to have graphics on par with the PS2 if not better, so that shouldn't be an issue. Plus if you're not like me who bought it the second it came out(Hell, I even preordered it) then you save $70.Think of it this way, if you take inflation into effect(using US rates) then the NES would cost over $700 dollars in stores, we're lucky to have systems that cost as much as they do.(I got that fact from either Gameinformer or Nintendo Power, I have it somewhere in my room but and too lazy to look through upwards 200 magazines to find it...sorry) Kingdom Hearts 3 will be iconic, not only will it end the Xehanort Saga, but I'm truely interested in the secret video(you know there will be one) outlining KH4. I don;t understand the lack of patience among the true fans when KH3 in involved. The sheer wait is the build up for this game. Every game that comes out before it shows that Nomura has something special just swimming around in his brain and he needs so many parts just to tell the tale. I'd rather have KH 3D and personally I loved Days, Re: coded, COM, Re: COM, and BBS(although I see BBS as KH.5, COM and Re: COM as KH1.5, and KH3D will be KH2.5 as stated before) ............I'm so sorry for rambling, these are my true feelings but I couldn't sleep and have been sick for the past week, and I was bored. 3 MarluXia777, waytothexdawnx and hatok reacted to this
xxClouDxxmoon 901 Posted September 22, 2011 Well the KH team are sorta busy developing FF VS 13, which ive actually heard has finished in its development stages.(im actually looking a bit forward to FF VS 13) Although i didnt mind the fill ins and side storys, as a younger person i found it kinda hard to keep up with all the handhelds. I still havnt got a PSP to play BBS and im not sure when im going to have the money to get a 3DS. But as far as im concerned they can take as long as they want for KHIII because KH is my favourite game series and i dont want it ended with a shitty game. Also if i found out KHIII was on a handheld i would probably commit suicide

animemylove 439 Posted September 22, 2011 kh3ds is pretty much a teaser of kh3 showing us everything nomura has planned in store for the next installment, from what we saw of DDD at the TGS we can assume kh3 will be unlike everything we've witnessed in the 2 main games. here we'll be introduced to new abilites, attacks and allies they plan on sending to the kh3. I for one can't wait for kh3ds to come out :}
zaqareemalcolm 0 Posted September 22, 2011 None of the games are filler games. Hell, even days is becoming more important with KG3D
Aru Akise 2,540 Posted September 22, 2011 Guys! DDD isn't a filler, god damn it! The only filler was re: Coded! All the other games had important roles for the story! And now we get a game that will put all of the information together and make us even more confused! How isn't that a true KH main game!!? Besides, Nomura said it's as important, so.... DREAM DROP DISTANCE ISN'T A FILLER!
Sekuiya 0 Posted September 22, 2011 Well, truth be told, we'll only see KH 3 around 2015 and if we're lucky! FFVSXII is schedule to be released in 2013 so if they start developing KH 3 after that... well, maybe 2020 is the right date afterall. It kinda sucks somehow, almost 20 years to tell the full story. Sometimes I just wish they did an anime of a CGI movie, it would probably take less time than making the games. I love the gameplay, but not knowing the story is what bugs me the most! TokyoMystify 4 Posted September 22, 2011 Ah how I love topics like this. Let me explain how wrong you and everyone is to call these fillers. While they are made to keep us fans busy if we (instead of eating everything the company tells us as hard fact) actually think things through and make sense of whats going on, can shut the hell up and accept the games. Fillers, to the extent of my understanding, are little stories inside the main one that have no consequence to the main. An example I like to use, sora goes to McDonalds, orders some nuggets, and while eating them he gets attacked by heartless and kills them. That's a filler, he simply ate some nuggets and killed some heartless. True he might get a little fat, but it won't really change anything in the main story. Now, I'm sure everything can be understood by a 5 year old right? Don't worry, I'll still take your hand and walk beside you. 1)Chain of memories, this is how sora lost his memories in kh2, which is why the organization knew him but he didn't. It told us why he was put in a state of sleep inside the capsule in which he appears from at the start of kh 2. why some of the members of the organization were not anywhere to be found in kh 2 and why Kairi didn't remember him. 2)365/2 days. It explains roxas story. Why he uses 2 keyblades, why he fights riku, why he doesn't remember anything in kh 2, why the organization was looking for him in kh2, why he ran away from them (which is why they tell sora in kh 2 he betrayed them) and how he came to be in twilight town. 3)Re:coded (I haven't played it unfortunately) 4)BBS, we would basically have no idea of what's going on if it wasn't for this game. (I could swear I've said the same thing in other threads with the same topic) 5)Dream drop distance. How sora and riku will become masters (if they do), which will give them power to fight the enemy. And that's only what we know for now, who knows what else will be added. So none were fillers. Each and everyone were necessary (can't say the same for re coded, haven't played it) and made the story actually believable, instead of just throwing in random factors in the main games not explained, hoping for us to follow. And no, just writing them in a story, manga etc is not better. This started in a game, not books for us to read. 2 _The Door To Light_ and Aru Akise reacted to this
heartless101 83 Posted September 22, 2011 I find it that as long as there is a GAME, no matter if it is filler or a main game, than it doesn't matter to me. Kingdom Hearts is a very fun series no matter if it is a filler or a main game.
