KHBbS Birth by Sleep: Better than KH1?

I skipped this game, but will download it on my PS Vita when it is available to download. Why do a lot of KH fans say Birth by Sleep is not only on KH1's level, but may even be better than KH1? Is it really that good?

Right now, you can only get Birth by Sleep by buying the UMD. Once Birth by Sleep is available to download on the PlayStation store, I will get it then. I don't have a PSP.

Erm... hate to break it to you, but Birth By Sleep is probably not going to ever be available for the Vita.

Also, it's definitely better than KH1, at the very least, in terms of gameplay.

I had a feeling that's what you meant. There's a company named Disney that doesn't like their products being sold on the internet, in other words PS Network, and other similar networks.

I mean that it is unlikely BBS will ever be released on the PSN. Nomura cites that Disney didn't want the game released online, since they were worried about piracy.

If you want to play BBS, you're gonna have to either wait for a remake, or buy a physical copy and a PSP like the rest of us.

I don't have a PSP either, but from vids I've seen and the one time I played BBS for a few minutes, I know it's better than KH1, at least in terms of gameplay. I'd have to say KH1 has the worst gameplay of all the KH games, besides maybe the original Coded and CoM (not the remakes).

BBS is hot! Besides it's awesome gameplay, the last cutscene from "A Fragmentary Passage" and the whole "Blank Points" filled me with goosebumps. (I've already used this word 3 times. I'm not misusing it, am I?)

Birth By Sleep is much better than KH. The graphics are much better, the gameplay is better, and the plot in my opinion is better than KH.

I'd say that it's better. The story is nice, and Aqua/Terra/Ventus are VERY likeable characters. I love the combat system (though I don't really like having to meld stuff ) and the graphics are nice. Everytime I watch the opening scene I get goosebumps *__*

 

The only thing I don't like about BBS is that it sometimes feels very "empty" It may just be me though .

I think the story is messed up, and I hate Ventus. I also didn't like Terra at first, but now I think he's ok.

BBS is my favorite entry in the series (so far). But yeah, I wouldn't hold my breath for the downloadable version.

Personally, BBS is my favorite game in the series thus far, and I've played every game. The Command Styles in this game and perfect, exactly my kind of thing. The entire thing was done through cutscenes. No annoy bubble cutscenes (the ones where the speech bubbles show up, and you have to read everything. Those were soooo annoying!)The graphics were great, and the story--I purposely postponed beating the game for 6 whole months--not because I hated the game, but because I loved the game and the story soo much, that I didn't want it to end. I hate the feeling of finishing a good story. My heart drops every single time, no matter how happy the ending might be. Being able to play all three characters, made me sympathize with each of them even more. In KH, you're Sora and that's it. (With the exception of Roxas and the occassional Riku.)

 

I loved BBS. It is my #1 favorite game, hence, my name: "wayfinder," and the quote in my signature. It's my favorite game. The one that has inspired me most thus far.

KHBBS may be better than KH1, but it is on it's level seeing as the graphics are alike, I think that it's just the storyline that's different.

And I think in some parts it's better than KH1.
