Pokemon food seems to be organic, there hasn't been any showing of meat in pokemon, except in the first few seasons with some of the human's food. We have absolutely no idea, whether humans eat pokemon or not. :)

Well its quite clear some Pokemon eat other Pokemon. Sometimes violently. Like nightmare fuel violently. I'm looking at you Metagross, Gorebyss, Frillish, Glalie. There's a Pokemon wiki called Bulbabedia - those Pokedex entries, man. *shudder*

Metagross: "Metagross is the result of two Metang achieving fusion. When hunting, this Pokémon pins the prey to the ground under its massive body. It then eats the helpless victim using the large mouth on its stomach."

Gorebyss: "Although Gorebyss is the very picture of elegance and beauty while swimming, it is also cruel. When it spots prey, this Pokémon inserts its thin mouth into the prey's body and drains the prey of its body fluids."

Frillish: "They paralyze prey with poison, then drag them down to their lairs, five miles below the surface."

Glalie: "Glalie has the ability to freely control ice. For example, it can instantly freeze its foe solid. After immobilizing its foe in ice, this Pokémon enjoys eating it in leisurely fashion."

I want to point out most of those Pokedex entries were from Pokemon Sapphire. Don't believe me? Look it up yourself. >__> What sort of children's game was I playing growing up, again??

In the first few seasons, I believe they showed normal animals, though the only example I can think of are the fish in the Cerulean City Gym. And quite a few times the characters were shown eating meat, like burgers. Also, some Pokemon have the name of the animal their design was based off of in their Pokedex Classification. For exaple, Growlithe is "The Puppy Pokemon", or Beautifly the "Butterfly Pokemon". How would they classify all these Pokemon with the exact names of real animals, if they didn't have animals themselves?
