Afr0Blu3 0 Posted August 6, 2011 Playing through Kingdom Hearts 1 again, I noticed two things that have never struck me before. - In Deep Jungle, when viewing the slides, one comes up that looks like Castle of Dreams, and Sora says he recognises it, despite knowing he's never been there. - In Hollow Bastion, Sora says the place is familiar, again, he immediately adds he's never been there before. Do you think this could be due to Sora carrying Ven's heart? Ven went to the Castle of Dreams and Radiant Garden, so that could explain it, however, this would also require way too much to have been planned from the beginning of the series and there's no way Nomura could have known he was going to have a budget for as many games as there have been. rikunobodyxiii 700 Posted August 6, 2011 The Hallow Bastion one can be explained by Kairi's heart in Sora. Kairi recognized her former home, which affected Sora. The other one...I got nothing.
kingdomlanelover 494 Posted August 6, 2011 I agree with the first guy, that's what I got out of it. Since that's where Kairi's home was, and since her heart was inside of Sora's it seemed familer to him even though he had never been there before. Same goes witht he second theory. That castle was built by Maleificent and the others when the world was lost into darkness. And when Sora locked the Keyhole the place went back to the way it was before.... sort of. That's why Leon and the other are re-constructing it.
Afr0Blu3 0 Posted August 6, 2011 I can understand the Kairi's heart theory for Hollow Bastion, but what about the slide showing Castle of Dreams?
Rob 5,571 Posted August 6, 2011 I can understand the Kairi's heart theory for Hollow Bastion, but what about the slide showing Castle of Dreams? That wasn't even Castle of Dreams. It was just a castle.
shiv 6 Posted August 6, 2011 i always thought the castle of dreams was because he saw it in his dream at the very beginning
StarCharm 54 Posted August 6, 2011 It's not Castle of Dreams the one in the slide, it's Hollow Bastion's castle
rikunobodyxiii 700 Posted August 6, 2011 It's not Castle of Dreams the one in the slide, it's Hollow Bastion's castle That would make sense.
OblivionRider 50 Posted August 7, 2011 It's not Castle of Dreams the one in the slide, it's Hollow Bastion's castle Yeah I think you're right, but I wouldn't argue against the other Castle of Dreams idea. BBS wasn't planned until after KH2, so it was likely a coincidence that it looked like the Castle of Dreams. 1 AxelRoxasXionKH reacted to this
hatok 6,413 Posted August 7, 2011 I'm pretty sure it's just a normal castle that Kairi's heart thought was similar to Radiant Garden. 1 AxelRoxasXionKH reacted to this
Rob 5,571 Posted August 7, 2011 I'm pretty sure it's just a normal castle that Kairi's heart thought was similar to Radiant Garden. The force is wise in you. As to how would Jane, who comes from London(near there), would get pics of a castle from another world.
Oishii 3,987 Posted August 7, 2011 The force is wise in you. As to how would Jane, who comes from London(near there), would get pics of a castle from another world. Mickey dropped it, because every keyblade master carries slides of random places, obviously.
keystrike 145 Posted August 7, 2011 Also during the time of kh1 that castle in the slide show was presumed to be what Hollow Bastion looked like originally when Kairi was a kid. It isn't too far of a stretch to feel like its familiar. If I saw a picture of my down town one hundred years ago I think I could recognize enough of it. So maybe that slide was from before the keyblade war when all the worlds were connected?
Rob 5,571 Posted August 7, 2011 Mickey dropped it, because every keyblade master carries slides of random places, obviously. Mickey is known to drop and forget many things, so this is plausible. 1 Sigrun reacted to this
Afr0Blu3 0 Posted August 7, 2011 It could just be Hollow Bastion as Kairi remembers it. I hadn't thought of that.
Rob 5,571 Posted August 7, 2011 It could just be Hollow Bastion as Kairi remembers it. I hadn't thought of that. Or maybe it was just an ordinary castle, and seeing a castle brought up Kairi's forgotten memories. 1 kristi-swat reacted to this

Ah but we visit London when we go to Neverland (the clock tower is Big Ben pretty much) so that throws up it's own issues!

waiting for KH3 ZZZZZZZZZZ 2 Posted August 13, 2011 IDK what to say is this intruiging or interesting but there could have been nooooo way cause the developers didn't think of any "ven" at the time it was the whole beggining of the series it musta benn a thing that led them to make Birth By Sleep but IDK i really have no idea what to say on this matter
keystrike 145 Posted August 13, 2011 I feel the need to reiterate that that is Hollow Bastion/ Radiant Garden and it is familiar to Sora because of Kairi's memories, and the only thing that the context of bbs changes is the fact that the HB in the slide show is from before BbS. Maybe even before the keyblade war, but definitely before Kairi was born.
