KH2 Kh2 ending= sad post BBS

Recommended Posts

Can't remember if this has been discussed here before, but anyway

I always thought the ending of KH2 had a happy feeling, and it was exciting with the prospect of new adventure etc etc

But post BBS, it kinda makes me sad. Aqua could have been literally 5 mins away from the point when Sora and Riku disappeared. If they had held on for just a bit longer..gahh who knows. Makes me feel pretty sorry for Aqua and Ansem. Has anyone else's feeling changed about the KH2 ending?

Sora and Riku were in the realm of inbetween. Ansem and Aqua were in the realm of darkness. The Dark Meridian is a tip of a world and is the boundary line between the realm of inbetween and the realm of darkness. Sora and Riku were in the realm of inbetween looking at the sea of the realm of darkness. Ansem and Aqua would have never saw them.

That makes sense. And so the realm of light is Sora's beach.

All the worlds we've been to are in the realm of light, it's not just the beach.

No. The only connection they have is an intended parallelism of the sea (double meaning) of outer space.

For the rock argument, i think Nomura moved it ( you can see it behind Sora in image 2) for the sake of having Ansem something to sit on.

Anyway, I know what you're saying was probably what Nomura confirmed in an interview, but to me it doesn't 'fit' as they're practically the same. Please feel free to correct me though! :)

They may look similar, but they're not the same. Remember when Xemnas talked to Roxas there? He was sitting on the rock Ansem is sitting on. They wouldn't move it back further for Sora and Riku, and then put it back in place for Ansem. Which means there is more than one beach.

Which is what Rob said.

Never noticed that.

Keep in mind that time flows differently in the Dark Realm (Aqua’s youth). This could explain why Mickey and Riku did not meet Aqua in the Dark Realm.

*sigh* Lazy modelers. Recycled sets anyone? They could at least try to arrange all the rocks differently, not just three -.- But maybe there's a meaning to the place looking the same but being in a different realm. Maybe they were in the same beach at the same time *gasp*

So for some reason everything is the same except for that one rock. I would easily dismiss that one difference for the purpose of looks. If you recall this image:

(without the text) was framed for the ending of the first half of the credits.

And this one was the final image before All the pieces lie where they fell. Both scenes meant to leave a lasting impression and create the most effective scenes and so what they did was move the rock a bit.
