Question about Vanitas

Recommended Posts

no.

Vanitas is unversed.

The only thing i can think of is that if ven loses his heart, his heartless is a Vanitas

He isn't actually an unversed. he's actually a physcal manifestation of ven's darkness. Now for this thread, it may be possible we might see Vanitas return since his remnant is revealed to be canon to the KH series. So it's a possibility that he may somehow come back or not.

its a possibility. Vanitas is now like another personality of ven (his ven's darkness remember). so if ven finds himself in a certain situation. vanitas might try to split from him.

You do know that Ven destroyed his darkness(Vanitas remember).

But as long as Ven remains in Sora's (who still has darkness, albeit very little, in his heart) heart, there is that slight possibility that Vanitas will get created from his darkness ans not necessarily Ven.

Actually, he is still technically an Unversed. He is the original Unversed, and all others come from him.

So in order for Vanitas to return, Ven's heart will be contaminated by Sora's darkness? So wouldn't Ven's light overcome Sora's little darkness(the less darkness the weaker it is)?

Remember though that Ven's darkness isn't gone. As MX has said, darkness cannot be created or destroyed. So it's likely that Vanitas still exists in some form.

Technically? By that would you just be disregarding the fact that unversed don't have hearts? Then there is also the issue of does Vanitas feed on negativity or does he just give it off. He obviously gives it off, but could his darkness thrive on negativity. So it kinda goes both ways. Anyway 'technically' still seems like a bit of a stretch to me.

addressing the original question: If he does come back, I wouldn't expect it to be as simple as a mere heartless or nobody; at least have something to do with emotions and his lingering spirit. Seeing his connections to the Mysterious Figure, I would expect them both to appear together.

Where does it say that Unversed don't have hearts? Also, he is the first Unversed, as all other Unversed come from him, and return to him when defeated.

Vanitas was created from the darkness within Ven's heart so it is completely within the rhealm of possibility that Vanitas is concidered a type is heartless.

Also, Vanitas has said that he feeds on the negativity within the heart, that is what makes him stronger.

Unversed couldn't have hearts, because their hearts would be created from nothing. Unless Vanitas has the power to create thousands of hearts from his emotions, they don't have hearts. So it's debatable whether or not he is an actual Unversed, since he has a heart and wields a Keyblade. I don't believe when you create something, you have to be the thing you created.

Anyways on topic, I believe without a doubt Vanitas will return. He is essential to Ven having a complete heart.

Where does it say that Unversed do have hearts? I'd think they would make a bigger deal out of them having hearts than not. Also Unversed are what Vanitas feels, and when they are defeated they return to him.

Vanitas was created from the darkness within Ven's heart so it is completely within the realm of possibility that Vanitas is considered a type is heartless.

Also, Vanitas has said that he feeds on the negativity within the heart, that is what makes him stronger.

'Type' is too loose of a term to be worth much. Vanitas is far beyond the level of a heartless. Heartless are mindless monsters born from the darkness in peoples hearts that act only on instinct to gather more hearts. The only similarity I see is that he is in essence (in other words not taking his body into consideratin) born from the darkness in Ven's heart.

Where did you hear that he feeds on the negativity to become stronger? The novels mentioned Vanitas fighting the unversed (thus having the negativity return to him) to become stronger, but that was in the sense of getting stronger by fighting not by feeding on negativity.

If that's so, then Ven's heart wouldn't be destroyed and he wouldn't have ended up in Sora.

You are mostly incorrect, Vanitas is part of Ven's heart, so saying that they have a heart may be stretching it, but they ARE made up of a being that iscreated from the dark portion of Ven's heart.

You do realize that there are different types of heartless. Including those with darkness so strong that they have that ability to act on their own accord. Ansem: Seeker of Darkness is a perfect example of this phenomena.

The only similarity I see is that he is in essence (in other words not taking his body into consideratin) born from the darkness in Ven's heart.

Vanitas isn't in essence born from the darkness. That's EXACTLY what Vanitas is. Have you not played the game?

Where did you hear that he feeds on the negativity to become stronger? The novels mentioned Vanitas fighting the unversed (thus having the negativity return to him) to become stronger, but that was in the sense of getting stronger by fighting not by feeding on negativity.

What is the result of combat? Hatred. What spawns hatred? Negativity.

If that's so, then Ven's heart wouldn't be destroyed and he wouldn't have ended up in Sora.

Ven's heart isn't destroyed. It's just damaged due to the battle between Ven and Vanitas. It's just inside Sora until a set time when Ven's heart is strong enough. I'm assuming thats whenever Sora comes into contact with Terra and Aqua.

Then I'm sure Vanitas wouldn't have said "The keyblade is made of your heart, too(Vanitas referring to himself and the keyblade), idiot. If you destroy it, your heart will vanish forever." after Ven said "How about I destroy you both?"

But remember what Master Xehanort said, "Darkness cannot be destroyed. It can only be channeled"
