KH3D Could KH3d work with DLC?

With the announcement that paid downloadable content is coming to the 3ds, I think that DLC is actualy very possable for KH3d. There could be bosses and even an extra world. Kingdom Hearts is a franchise that remakes games A LOT. Perhaps with DLC there wouldn't be a need to make a Final Mix or something like that.

Not quite true. Disney doesn't want games to be downloadable because they're worried about piracy (And thus, lost profits) DLC would make them money, potentially a LOT of money if they do it right, so I think they might go for it.

I doubt there'd be a whole DLC world though, that would be very expensive to make. I could see Final Mix DLC, and DEFINITELY DLC bosses.

They're referring to Final Mixes as well. They're talking more about "repackaged" or "rerelease" than remake. Together with Final Mixes, there have been 5 "rereleases": KH1:FM, re:CoM, KH2:FM+, re:coded and BbS:FM.

KH doesn't really seem like the kind of series to have DLC.

 

Maybe if they bring the Coliseum back we could have some DLC tournaments, or a Keyblade or two, but nothing crazy.

Would be cool, but I don't know how that would work out overseas. Usually if they have some extras ready for NA release they prepare for FM they will give us, like MF. Something in me says if they did it would be exclusive to Japan But I could be over thinking it.

*sigh* It doesn't matter how many games for Handhelds that they make, they have absolutely no effect on the release of KHIII. If you want something to blame for KHIII taking such a long time, blame FF versus XIII. The team that makes the numbered KH games, the one that will make KHIII, is currently working on FFvsXIII. And, if BbsV2 is a real game, It will either be on the PSP or Vita, so KH Vita is a possibility.

Anyway, I am not really a fan of DLC, and I don't really see KH utilizing the feature. If they do use it, however, I wouldn't expect something as big as a new world.

It really makes no difference. Most DLC to me is just hassle. Why not just put it in the game and sell it for 60. It takes longer to download than just get it in the game. DLC is just money scheme and I dont agree with it. They dont usually max out the discs they use so why not just put it in the game. Its all about the money.

You can blame piracy. Companies are desperately trying to make up the lost money, but end up just inconveniencing paying customers, and even driving more to piracy.

Well then, wouldn't that still help you? They are getting more money to make KHIII, which would (in theory) let the final product be better. Let the people who buy want KH3D get it, thus giving Square Enix more money to put towards KHIII, and when KHIII comes out you can enjoy it even more. And if the other KH handheld titles were also attempts to "grab a quick buck" then I still foresee an at least decent game.

you do realize that KH3D is like a prequel to KH3 and is being treated like a numbered title; just like they did with BBS.

 

So far there has only been one "filler" KH game, and that was Coded. All of the rest were pretty much confirmed for release by Nomura himself

This game is going to be treated as a numbered title, just like BBS. So unless you are saying that BBS was created just to make a quick buck then please shush.
