London releases design for 2012 Olympic Medals

Weighting in at 14 ounces, it is said to be the heaviest medal yet.


British designer David Watkins designed the back of the medal, which incorporated the bulky logo for London 2012 as well as a number of metaphorical features.

For the first time in awhile I reckon Australia have a really good shot at winning the 2012 Olympics.

 

Recently an Aussie won The Tour of France (or whatever it's called).

I'm not too sure on that. But what our athletes have shown in the Commonwealth Games last year and more recently the 2011 events proves we have a good chance.
