Key2Oblivion 37 Posted June 27, 2011 I just finished Birth by Sleep and it got me in the mood to play kingdom hearts. Only problem is I can't play any of the older ones and I'm completely done with birth by sleep...well except for the mystery figure and I don't plan on beating him anytime soon. So is re:coded important to the main story at all? Is it worth buying?
khfan02 56 Posted June 27, 2011 ya if u like getting bored with it after u beat it
JTD95 1,107 Posted June 27, 2011 Why can't you get the older ones?
Tails 6,690 Posted June 27, 2011 Well, it isn't really too important but the game tells you what happens after the events of KH2. it's sort of a bridge between KH2 and KH3D if you so call it. But it is a little important to pick up and buy. But that;s your choice if you choose to buy it or not.
Key2Oblivion 37 Posted June 27, 2011 Why can't you get the older ones? I can't play kh 1, kh2, re:chain of memories because my lil brothers put like playdoh or something in the memory card slots after I gave it to them(gave it to them when I got my ps3) and my ps3 can't play ps2 games. I sold my ds to get a 3ds so I can't play chain of memories and I lost Days.

Re:coded is ok it's not great but you should get it if you want to occupy your time while waiting for Dream Drop Distance to come out. It also answers some of your questions you had in the Blank Points Questions topic.
TerraRedeemed 255 Posted June 28, 2011 days is a much better investment
Vanitas 127 Posted June 28, 2011 You could get chain of memories for the bottom slot on your 3ds. But i warn you. It was ridiculisly hard 4 me.
Lu Xun 2,069 Posted June 28, 2011 Well, if you can't really get another one, then get it. It's better to have one Re:coded and BBS than just BBS. It's a KH game after all.
Rob 5,571 Posted June 28, 2011 Sure, if you want to take a day or 2 to beat a game. lol
Kishira 2,854 Posted June 28, 2011 days is a much better investment That's all a matter of opinion.
hatok 6,413 Posted June 28, 2011 There's a simple way to tell if you should get Days or Coded. Do you prefer smooth, varied gameplay with features that are nearly on par with other 'true' KH games (Ones you can play with an analog stick basically) Or do you prefer the Organization? That's basically what it comes down to. If you're willing to overlook Days' shortcoming compared to Coded in return for Organization XIII fan service, then you should get that. But Coded is the superior game in terms of gameplay. If you're willing to buy a game, both of which are admittedly worse than BBS, KH1, KH2, and maybe Chain of Memories (If you like the card system, CoM is better, but if you are like most people and hate the system, Days and Coded win out) Both games are great overall, if you're a big KH fan, both games are a great investment, but otherwise you might just want to spend your time trying to beat MF. KHSonic 41 Posted June 28, 2011 I would get it. I thought it was pretty cool in a "different" kind of way. KH has some interesting games and that on is very creative. So if you have the money and there isnt anything better to get with it go for it. At least you will know what everyone is talking about. (i mean if you bought Re:CoM then this game shouldnt be so bad to get lol)
J. Severe 1,137 Posted June 28, 2011 Should you get Re:coded? Hmm, lemme think... Its gameplay is a combination of 358/2 Days, Birth by Sleep, and the original coded. It tells you what's in that letter Sora and the gang got at the end of Kingdom Hearts II It has an awesomely epic secret ending. It lets you change your difficulty IN-GAME! KH2 Sora, Riku, and Kairi appear in a cutscene. http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/ohmy.png So, yeah... Get it.

replika13 455 Posted June 28, 2011 this is important game because without it there wouldnt be bbs or days, but its getting boring once y complete it
aznshadow390 8 Posted June 29, 2011 this game tells you that MX will come back, in the secret ending
Rodman 22 Posted July 24, 2011 I didn't get it, I just watched the cutscenes on the video tab.
aubreyloveskh 16 Posted July 24, 2011 I didn't like re:coded all that much, but if it's the only game you can get you might as well buy it. It's not terrible, it has excellent game play. It's just that other than game play, I didn't like much else about it. The story was pretty lame in my opinion too, I don't think it made any major contributions to the main story, if that is what you are looking for. It did have some new info, but you could probably figure that info out without playing re:coded. Basically, the other games are way better in my opinion, but some other people seem to love re:coded, so you might like it too.
hatok 6,413 Posted July 25, 2011 I didn't get it, I just watched the cutscenes on the video tab. That's kinda pointless, most of the cutscenes are text.
Zenithia 305 Posted September 12, 2011 tutti frutti. I say save your money for another game (but that's just me). If you're going to get the game for the story I recommend watching the cutscenes, at least before you play the game in order to find out what happens. If you're willing to buy a used PS2 memory card I DO recommend KH1, KH2 and KHre:COM. These have a better story. But if you want a KH game to keep you busy until KH3D, then I say get a used copy to try it out. 1 SoraKH reacted to this

That's if you find them used, it's an extra $10 dollars each if you buy them new. Then, used memory cards (At gamestop) go for an outrageous $20 price tag. So, at least 50 bucks, but it could be 80 or more. Despite that, I wholeheartedly agree with you

Either way it's not important except for the ending so what I said was not completley false.
