Have you guys ever been to an anime con...?

I've always wanted to go to one...I've been trying to find one to go to around my birthday, November 28th, so I can start saving up now.

 

I wanna cosplay in one so bad .__. As Kairi or Roxas

 

The only thing is, my friends aren't into Kingdom Hearts, just other random anime. I really wanna have a KH cosplay group and whatnot, though.

I went to MCM (movie, comics, anime and manga etc con) in London last October. It was awesome! http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/smiley-confuse.png I cosplayed as Namine, and my friend cosplayed as Olette. I'm going to it again this October as Marluxia. But that is the only one I've ever been to.

 

Just look around and I'm sure you'll find one. But even if none of your friends are into KH, go alone and you may make some new friends there who are!

I went to one last May! Animazement 2008! Oh My God! It was AMAZING!!!! I made a really good friend who is turning out to be popular for her cosplay!

I went as Axel by the way. Next time I go to a con I'm going as Sora.

In my experence, Conventions are where you have a really good time and meet amazing friends!

*Side note: The whole weekend I was at the convention I forgot to eat. ^^; *

However i went to a games expo a few weeks back, Playstation 3 etc lol:D

oh and if you ever cosplay, go with some friends because cosplaying alone isnt as fun as it is in group ;-;

according to my friend, the next one is in August...yeah, that's all i got out of her. She wants to go as...some Naruto charater whom I don't remember their name...and my other friend wants to go as Namine...and I can't decide if I want to go as Kairi or Zexion....

I would go as Xion, but it seems like EVERYONE will cosplay as her... @.o

but the only problem is that it costs $50 to get in...and all of us are broke!! TT-TT

we probably will...since my mom's totally into the idea (blah blah blah...it would be an interesting experience...blah blah....so many pictures to take...blah blah blah...http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/smiley-confuse.png)

right now we're in debate over which one we want to go to. of course, all the good conventions are either in another country (like england or canada) or in california...and since we live in the washington dc area (yay maryland!! ) we don't have many choices. right now we're looking into:

CHS Otako Fest (MD)

Costume-Con (MD)

Otakon (MD)

Castle Point Anime Convention (NJ)

AnimeNEXT (NJ)

 

we'll probably end up going to either Otakon or AnimeNEXT if we go to one, since those are the only two that look promising...

Oh you're lucky. I never went to an anime convention but I've gone to a scifi convention for my birthday and I did meet someone going as Vivi from KH2. But as for anime, there are none around me that I know of.
