• When the PlayStation Vita was announced (more below), Sony provided a list of developers that will be developing for this platform, and Square Enix appears on the list. Kingdom Hearts maybe? Always the possibility.

• The PlayStation Vita, the successor to the PlayStation portable, was officially announced with more details surrounding it. It was revealed that they are aiming for a release "this holiday season", at a price of US$250 for the WiFi only version, and $300 for the WiFi+3G version.


• The successor to the Wii, previously known as "Project Café", is now official known as Wii U which stands for "Wii Universal". It features controllers with screens on it that allow the console to be played without the television. The new device is meant to be a component to the Wii rather than an all new device.


• Various games including Final Fantasy XIII-2 were shown, with new trailers for many. These can all be seen below under "videos".

This is awesome if Square makes a KH title for the NGP. I was getting the NGP and 3DS anyway.

i really hope i have a good christmas this year(since i ask for money) or else i wont be getting a vita since so many good games come out in that time period too, and if i do get a vita i will definitely be getting the non 3G version since that would be $560 in the country that i live in

E3 this year was a little dissapointing.

 

Aside from the fact that a Kingdom Hearts title was not announced, I was not as excited as I thought I would be when the NGP and Project Cafe was announced. Both of them have had name changes that are horrible (PSVita and Wii U really?).

 

If I were to place the Press Coferences in order from Best to Worst it would go this way:

 

1. Sony

 

2. Nintendo

 

3. Microsoft

 

They all dissapointed me and were a little boring. Sony didn't even announce that many titles (I was expecting an HD Remake of the Ratchet & Clank and Jak and Daxter series and Jak 4)

I'm a little disappointed too. Of course I had hoped that KH would be there, but I'm also sad that there has been no news about The Last Guardian. At least they said the HD remake of Shadow of the Colossus will be coming out in September

 

And the new consoles look cool, but whether I get them is another story. The only thing I'm considering is the 3DS and it looks like I wouldn't need to buy the WiiU to be able to play all the Nintendo games. I just need to wait till after the holidays when all these games finally come out. As for Vita, maybe in a couple of years after I get bored with the 3DS

I really hope they at least release something KH. It doesn't even need to be about KH3D or BBSv2. I will eagerly await more news tomorrow and at the same time hopefully something about Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance and Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Volume 2.

I am content with the DmC trailer and AC: Revelations info.

 

Somehow the Wii U didn't get to me. I mean sure, it's fancy and TECHNOLOGY MAGIC IDK. I have just always discriminated Nintendo consoles a bit for some reason.
