It doesn't matter whether you've actually played any or not, if you've seen the storyline, that counts too. If you haven't, just pick the last option.

Feel free to leave a comment! :)

My first was FF7 BUT it came bundled with a movie demo disk of FF8, and I was blown away.

So yeah, I borrowed 8 off a friend (who was one of those hardcore gamers who had pretty much every system and game both domestic and import), and played one disk at a time.

By the end of the first disk I knew this was the best game I'd ever played (while not the best game ever made, it's still my favourite), and it ends on a cliffhanger... I had to wait 2 days before I could find out what happened next! http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif

Anyway I still love it to this day, and it's probably what got me into KH aswell. Another friend of mine had KH whereas previously I'd only seen a trailer (which made it look weird and waaay too much of a disney thing); anyway he was playing a tournament in the collosuem and came up against Leon. I was like, "omg... this game has SQUALL in it?!"

So I borrowed the game, thought it was magnificent (now my third fav game of all time) and later bought 2 copies for £15 each. One for me, and one for my step-bro. I also got FFX-2 that same day, but played KH all the way through before I even started ffx-2. FF games have been going downhill ever since then.

^^That's fine! I'm just happy whenever someone participates/comments on a thread I make. :)

My favorite Final Fantasy game is....well...the whole compilation of VII. The only FF game I've actually ever played was X and X-2, but I loathed the battle system. I beat X-2, got tired of dying in X, and took them back to Gamestop...v_v

Later on, though, I started...hmm...can't really say I missed it, but I sorta wanted to see more of the story. Thus, I watched tons of FF on the comp. My sis watched with me because she remembered seeing some FF characters in KH and was curious. Now we're both fans. :D Advent Children even became our favorite movie! http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif

The whole 7 series is pretty good, even though I was never massively into it I've still delved into it enough to know what's going on and I am still a fan. I really liked crisis core and Advent children, even if the latter is pure fan-service lol. I kinda wish they had done a similar thing with 8 in fact they were going to release a sequal but it got canned :/ At least they haven't done anything to mess it up though lol.

It's funny because I'd say in many ways FFX had the best storyline of them all, though I don't think it was told in the right way, so I can see what you mean about missing FF, they have a special kind of atmosphere. I also really liked the battle system in 10, especially being able to swap characters in battle, and I liked not having a time-limit to select things from menus (which is pretty much what all the others do). That said, it was the last one I played to death... Even my Yuna hits for 99999 on a melee attack.

x-2 had its moments, (especially the character of paine, though she would have fit well into any ff line-up) but overall it was pretty boring. And I haven't liked any of the new ones since lol.

I thought Disney was pretty lame until KH. So final fantasy got me into disney. Weird... But the moment Squall told me to go with Donald duck and Goofy I wasn't gonna say anything different!

Yeah, at first I thought the X battle system was really really fun! But once it got about half-way through, I got sick of being suddenly thrown into battle with increasingly difficult enemies that were as hard as a BOSS BATTLE would be in KH. I managed to beat that dungeon(?) place with the big Ultima(???) enemy (sorry, been so long that I've forgotten its name..). I also got every summon possible and I think I got all of the characters their super weapon.

BUT! Regardless of all that, I got killed by the first Behemoth that attacked in the entrance of SIN. v_v At that time, I knew that later on I'd have to fight Seymour (AGAIN!!) and Jecht, so I was like, "THIS ISN'T EVEN A BOSS BATTLE AND I'M GETTING KILLED SO EASILY!!!" I didn't feel like leveling up because, by then, I disliked the battle system.....or maybe I just got lazy...xD

Thus, After 110 hours of gameplay, I went on to X-2. It was a bit boring, with the exception of a few good moments here and there. I beat the main storyline, took both games to Gamestop, and bought a Nintendo DS Lite and Days. (SO WORTH IT!) I've honestly found more joy out of just watching the FF cutscenes on Youtube than I did when I was playing it. That's just me, anyway.

That's a bit further then halfway through! You almost finished it then, and if you beat omega weapon and did all that other stuff then you would have trounced the last seymour and sin fights :P But yeah they like to up the ante on normal battles in that one. And it's not lazy to lose interest in a videogame lol quite the opposite if anything :P

DS is my second favourite console of all time, so I think you made a good choice :P I really liked days too. I watched all the cutscenes for RE:CoM because I HATE the card battling system! Tbh I don't feel like I missed much :P

I also watched the cutscenes for KH2 (even though I wished I hadn't, I just couldn't stop) before I had the game; due to the pal release being something like 9 months after the american one

I love this person for their love of FFVIII.

FFVIII is my favorite game of all time.

VII was alright. I don't find it as wonderful as everyone makes it out to be. I loved IV (so much I played the original and GBA versions on my comp, then the DS and SP versions), VIII, X definitely (X-2 was alright. I likedthe battle system a lot), XII was phenomonal, but XIII takes the cake. It's definitely my favorite. I also have over 300 hours in the original Dissidia and I'm coming up on 90 in Dissidia 012.

Advent Children was cool, but I'd rather watch the Rebuild of Evangelion.

Lol, even though I got all that stuff in X, for some reason I couldn't beat the regular battles at the ENTRANCE of SIN.....http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/smiley-confuse.png ...and what's weird is that I met enough requirements to unlock a few rounds in the Monster Arena, but I just couldn't beat those bosses either....*shrugs* But I honestly don't feel like I missed out, quite the opposite actually! I enjoyed the storyline much more by just watching vids.

Yeah, the DS is my second favorite console too! I can't blame you for just watching Re:CoM on the comp, because like you said, that card system was just too much of a pain. I only beat Re:CoM because I knew there would be a theater mode afterwards. If it wasn't for that, I probably would've traded it in for something else :P

FF8 was the first final fantasy game I was introduced to, and I can say it is the best and most enjoyable game I have ever played. As for newer titles, I think the series went downhill from after 10. I really do think Versus can redeem the series.

Final Fantasy X is my favorite. I discovered FF after Kingdom Hearts. In learning there were FF characters in KH, I was curious about them, but my friends convinced me to play the FFs. Mainly because I was annoying them with KH2 talk and thinking I knew about the FF characters. Anyway, I started watching FF gmvs of X (and some of the other games), and was blown away by the graphics and Tidus/Yuna scenes. In the end, I bought FFX and FFX-2. I was actually, stupidly, playing them at the same time. If I got stuck in one, I'd play the other... and then I stopped playing X-2 until I beat X. That was a great decision. I like X-2, but there's no comparison. X is amazing!

It was the first Final Fantasy with amazing graphics, voiceovers... it was the first time you could switch party members in battle... it was just amazing. It had an amazing story. It had the best love story out of all of them. And the ending still makes me cry. It's the most well done FF ending in my opinion. Final Fantasy X will always be my favorite.

Because of it (and X-2), I have played all of these Final Fantasy games: VII, I've seen Advent Children and Advent Children Complete. (I actually saw AC before I started playing FF. I loved it, but had no clue what was going on. Now that I've played the VII games, and understand it, it's even more epic.) I've played Crisis Core, Dirge of Cerberus, VIII, IX, XII, XII: Revenant Wings, XIII, Dissidia, Dissidia: Duodecim, Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions, and I've seen The Spirits Within movie. I haven't played VI yet, but I really want to and know a lot about it.

Actually, I’m a pretty big Final Fantasy buff because I did a school report on it…

I eagerly await news on XIII-2, Versus XIII, and Type-0.

P.S. Advent Children is the coolest thing ever, but Advent Children Complete is even better. It added a lot more depth and emotion that the original was lacking.

lol, I love how XIII gets so much hate but it's currently winning xP

I said XIII (only main series game I've played and I love it), VII and X (read the stories and sound cool), and Spin offs (Dissidia, 012, Crisis Core, XIII-2)

Hmm, old thread, but since no double topics...

I have recently become obsessed with Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced. I never imagined I would like a strategy game this much. Currently my main party consists of a Soldier (main character), Paladin, Templar, Time Mage, Fencer, and a White Mage (Healer). I also have two archers, two black mages, another white mage, a theif, an animist, and a beastmaster. I have about 10 hours in so far.
