KHBbS possibility of remake birth by sleep on PS3!

tbh i think its a stupid idea, if anything it should be remade onto PS2 because the original ones are there n going through all these different types of consoles means that it is hard for most fans to get their hands on all the games (for example i was angry after learning tht birth by sleep would be released on psp cause i dnt hav one and as of the moment cnt afford one, to top this up dream drop distance has been made for nintendo 3ds which is even more annoying because yet again i cant afford it).

 

You'd think tht the creators of the kingdom hearts games would understand this (reffering also to the problem of increase in taxes and therefore the cost to buy games, particuallry if it were to come out on ps3) and therefore try to keep the sequals on the same console instead of mixing them all up, plus as of yet the PS2 graphics still stand at the best ones for the kingdom hearts games.

 

So i say "IF THEY'RE GOING TO MAKE A REMAKE OF BIRTH BY SLEEP, THEN IT SHOULD BE FOR THE PS2 BECAUSE THTS JUST THE BEST AND PEOPLE WITH SIMILAR ISSUES WOULDNT HAVE TO MISS OUT. The PS2 is like 11 years old, the idea of releasing new games for it is ridiculous. PSP->PS2 would have no advantages, the systems are approximately as capable as each other; where, if it was released for PS3, it would be in HD and stuff. You mention not being able to afford each console, however, it's not like you're forced to buy each game...

I had to stop reading at the part you mentioned "remade for the PS2". That alone just tells me you didn't think about this. First, SQUARE DOESNT MAKE PS2 GAMES ANYMORE, IT'S BEEN LONG STATED AND IF YOU HAVE BEEN PAYING ATTENTION TO THEIR GAME RELEASES. Second, think. Why would Square remake BBS on a dead console when no one buys it's games anymore. Third, do you see PS2 games being sold in stores? Fourth, if Square is going to remake KH1 and KH2, they would put it on the current console everyone is focused on, which is PS3, seeing as though that would be what KH3 is on. Finally, GET WITH THE TIMES, which is what my response is all about. All I saw in this thread was a bunch of whining. It's not Square's fault you and/or your parents can't afford a PS3, PSP, and 3DS. Deal with it.

Objection, some of us have ps3s that can't play PS2 games so that could be a big problem. It should definitely be remade on the PS 3 though because if it was on another handheld console, there would be no point. They should remake KH and KH 2; those were really good.

*raises hand* im one of thouse people. I have a ps3 that plays only ps3 games. I do have a old ps2. I dont use my ps3 that much but if i found a really intresting game or KH game for it i would so get it. I like the ps2 but i want to use the ps3 more.

The PS2 is like friggin 11 years old. Sony currently sells the PS2, PS3, PSP, and NGP (Why do they still sell the PS2, I don't know). I know that people like you can't afford the consoles capable of playing the latest KH games, but that dosen't mean that they should release it on a 11 year old platform that's outdated. Square-Enix knows what their doing and this is how the big dogs (Sony and Nintendo) milk out people's money. And PS2 games are out of stock, old, used, and pre-owned. It would not make any sense at all for them to release a KH game on the PS2, when you have game devices like the 3DS, PS3, PSP, NGP, and Wii. I'm sorry but this never will happen.

 

And if BBS ever did come out on PS2 it would not be as good as the PSP version because the PS2 is so outdated. So Square-Enix and Sony are making the right move by releasing Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep on the PlayStation 3. I hope you found my post to be very reasoning.

As everyone else stated, PS2 is outdated. And putting a PSP game on a PS2 would be like putting a DS game on the Gamecube. You don't remake a game on an older system, you remake a game on a newer system with better graphics. Also, it's already been stated by Nomura that after Re:coded, there will be no more remakes. That means no BBS remake, no KH1 remake, and no KH2 remake.

I'd just like to start off with one thing, your comparison would be a bit more apt with remaking a wii game for the gamecube. The DS remake would benefit from analog control and better graphics, outdated console or no, which would be a benefit. Wii to Gamecube doesn't offer anything new though.

Second, and I'm not sure how many times I'll have to say this but.

Nomura is ONE MAN. Square Enix is a large company with one goal; make money. Just ebcasue Nomrua, a spokesperson, ahs said something, doesn't mean that somewhere along the road Square won't leave a note on his desk saying 'Remake KH1 and 2 or you're fired'

PS3 even... BBS came out LAST YEAR. If they havn't remade KH1/KH2 for the PS3, then they're sure as heck not gonna make a remake for a game that JUST came out.

Not that I'm all for a BBS/KH1/KH:RECOM/DAYS/KH2/CODED/KH:DDD HD combo pack... it's just that something like that isn't going to happen any time soon.

Well, I say that, but right now ICO and Shadow of the Colossus are being redone in HD for the PS3...

Time doesn't really have anything to do with it. The PSP and PS3 are closely connected machines, a remake wouldn't be as difficult as KH1 or 2.

PS2 games are still being made for extra change, but Square has moved on from it as we already know. This is actually a pretty dumb thread. Why would Square re-release a game on a console they already re-released a game on?

Oh yeah, there's no way Square would develop a new game for it (Though you can still find new copies of Square Enix games sometimes, including KH) but the PS2 hasn't quite died just yet.

Obviously they're going to put some on discs, but it would probably be in collections ("Metal Gear" PSP Collection, "God of War" PSP Collection, etc. Like the "Tomb Raider Trilogy"). It's like the lady on tv just said, "We got a right few details to work out first".

Anyway, I'd rather have BBS stay on PSP... for now. After all, the game just came out last year or whatever, it's a bit early. I wouldn't expect it to get remade for PS3 until around the time KH3 comes out, so new players can get a chance to play the previous games while playing this new game (that is, if KH3 IS on PS3 anyway...) I'd also expect KH1 & 2 remakes to be released around that time as well... :rolleyes:

That's true, a while ago I read an article on numbers of consoles sold (not sure if it was worldwide, think so though), and it mentioned that the PS2 is selling as much as the Xbox360 was then (before the release of the new, lighter, better one obviously), simply because it's so user-friendly, there are tons of games for it and, not unimportant nowadays, easy to hack.

I'm getting tired of people saying something should be made/re-made onto PS2. PS2 is pretty much dead at this point, and for the millionth time, Nomura said KHII FM+ would be the LAST, and I repeat, LAST Kingdom Hearts game to be released on the PS2 (besides the U.S of RE:CoM). The end.

Not all PSP and PS3 games are added to to PSN. Besides, BbS wasn't added because Disney doesn't want their games for download.

 

And strictly speaking, it wouldn't really be a BbS "Remake", more of a port with enhanced graphics, much like the God of War Collection (which had ronchy graphics either way).

Strange he said there would be no remake, yet they did just that with Final Mix.
