yes it is about pirates

it's about this boy named Fredric who gets apprenticed to pirates instead of as a pilot because of his nanny's, Ruth, poor hearing.

so he is at sea till his 21st birthday and well Ruth is in love with him and wants to marry him and since Fredric hasn't seen another woman he agrees, until he sees a group of girls (all sisters and daughters of the Major General) and falls in love with Mabel.

So he and Mabel are going to get married and he vows to exterminate the Pirates of Penzance.

But then he discovers he was born on February 29th, on a leap year and since he is to be a pirate apprentince until his 21st BIRTHDAY, he has to stay with the Pirates of Penzance and can not marry Mabel.

Then all this other stuff happens (i forgot ) and in the end all the pirates marry the daughters of the major general, ruth marries the major genral himself and fredric marries mabel

and it's a hapy ending
