Elena dropped her shopping bags, falling back into the chair. The food court was bustling with bodies, but Elena shut them out. It all paled in comparison to her latest shopping spree. New York was paradise! "Well, not for Daddy." She skimmed down the receipt, grimacing at the price. "He won't like this at all." She sighed, pocketing the slip and collecting her things. He couldn't be too mad, right? She had just graduated! And not only that, she had a full scholarship to University: he wouldn't be paying a thing! What's a little shopping compared to tuition? Elena looked up at the sky, concrete surrounding her. It looked so cold, but felt so inviting. How could she ever leave the Big Apple?

"Yes mom i know..."Brendan said over the phone

He later hangs up frustrated

"Why the hell do i always stay here....while they have fun...money can't buy hapiness.." Brendan said

He sits down on the huge lounge on the super comfy sofa with a filled up fridge full of snacks, a flat screen tv, a hi-def stereo with surround sound, and other games, playing his Pokemon White version

"Would you like anything Master Brendan?" Hanz said

Brendan looked up to Hanz

"No thanks hanz, the house is clean right?" Brendan asked

"Indeed Master Brendan" Hanz responded as he puts away his pocket watch

Brendan stood up

"You can take the day off today, There's nothing to do while mom and dad are away" He said sulking

Hanz looked at him "Thank you sir, i agree, Master Garret and Miss Gina work most of the time." Hanz said as he checks out

He later leaves and brendan walked out of the balcony

"Heh...At least i have that nice Twilight sunset..."

He adjusts his hair and straightens his headband, Then he noticed someone with seasalt ice-cream

"Damn..i forgot to buy some ice cream from the shop."

He exits his home runs towards the shopping district passing the person enjoying their ice cream

Frost was relaxing on a mountin top thinking of what to get to eat. Should I get a ham or a taco? he thought. He started to climb down the mountin and went into a town and stole some ham, ate it and ran back into the snowy mountin. On his way he saw a creature who had yellow eyes and a black body. "What the heck is that?" Frost thought. The creature saw him and attacked him. he fought as much as he could but was took down after 5 mins.

He hadn't been too mad. After all, what's a couple hundred dollars? "He didn't even take the card!" Elena held it above her as she lay in bed, staring at the ceiling. The excitement subsided though, and she let out a deep sigh. All of her friends were going on some cruise this summer, and she was stuck here because of some stupid funeral. She didn't even know the guy.

 

"He's family." her father said. "And as family, we must stay together."

 

"What a load." Elena tossed the credit card onto her nightstand, turning to look into her closet. 'That's right. Tonight's the show at Carnegie Hall.' There had been, at least what the police called, a "terrorist attack" at the Hall last Christmas (See "Parasite Eve"). Elena had been in France at the time, but apparently the whole city had been affected. 'That's when mother...'

 

But they were having a special presentation of their show, to repay those who had purchased advanced tickets for the cancelled runnings. She looked at the ticket next to the discarded credit card, and her heart sank.

Vante and Draz finally manged to make it up to the observatory and they were both welcomed by a cheerful hello from all of thier friends. "So lets head down to the lake!" yelled out Draz's friend Sarah a red head who had just recently moved into the city. Everyone more or less replies alright, and they all start to flood out of the room. "Draz!" yells out Vante grabbing him by the arm. "What!, can't you see everyone left already says Draz a little dumbfounded as way Vante grabbed his arm. "Have you been noticing the waters, stillness lately?"says Vante still with a hard grip on Drazes arm. "What are you talking about! I'll find out when i get to the water, Vante!. bellows out Draz still trying to wrench away from Vantes now, even harder grip. "You'll drown....now stay here..." says Vante grimly as he lands a powerful, punch to Draz's stomach, making Draz's eyes buldge out as he sinks to the floor in shock and his eyesight starts to slowly leave him.

"Hm?" said Arc. Hes sees a guy running towards the shopping district. He looks around and sees the house he exited. "whoa! Fancy" said Arc gawking at the big house. "Never seen him before" said Arc looking at the direction he was running towards. "I should say hi. I could use more ice cream" said Arc throwing his finished stick into a waste basket near him. "HEEY!!!" yelled Arc at the top of his lungs running towards him. "He will probably think im some sort of freak... Oh well you have to somewhere!" thought Arc.

Brendan reached to the clerk

"One tub of sea-salt ice cream please." Brendan said

"That will be 20 munny" The Girl clerk said

Brendan reached for his munny bag and pays the right amount

"As complimentary, you get a free sea-salt ice cream!" She says as she hands him a wrapped bar

"Um..thanks"

brendan left the counter and headed home, while eating his ice cream he notices the person who said HEEEY to him

"......Ignored me." Arc went to purchase a sea salt ice cream. "Ignore me will you...." grumbled Arc. "Excuse me?" said the clerk. "NOting, nothing. Didnt mean to disturb you." As Arc walked away he couldnt help but feel annoyed. "Thats it... this will eat me up if i dont even know this strangers name." Tucking his ice cream into his mouth. He starts chasing after the stranger again. "HHHHEEEEYYY!!!" Arc yelled again intending to football tackle him. "AHHHH!" yelled Arc as he pounced. A killers gleam in his eyes.

Draz wakes up and is still a little dazed and he sees a tall figure towering over him. The tall figure looks down on Draz, "I wonder what Vante is doing, would'nt want that fool to ruin your summer with "your" friends now would we?" ask the tall figure slowly as he points to the exit of the observatory. "....um..thanks" says Draz confusedly as he gets up and starts stagering towards the exit of the observatory. "Boy!" yells out the towering figure. Draz turns around slowly with a annoyed look on his face, not saying anything. "Well you truly be able to handle the pain of...." The figure stops talking and a dark bleak corridor starts to form on the ground below it . "Handle what!" yells out Draz trying to run towards the figure, through all the clutter in the observatory. "Goodbye boy..." says the figure finally disappearing into the bleak dark corridor. Draz gets an angry, annonyed look on his face and he runs out of the observatory heading toward the lake in search for his friends.

Carrying the bag, Brendan noticed the stranger running towards him and yelling "AHHHHH!"

"....."Brendan saw the death glare in the stranger's eyes

He put the bag down and stood waiting for the stranger to tackle him,

Though he was timing himself

As soon as the stranger came at a very close distance, Brendan bent down and sweeped the stranger's feet, causing Arc to fall

Frost woke up and was falling from the sky towards a town (twighlight town). "CRAP CRAP CRAP" Frost said as he fell. "HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPP MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" Frost screamed as he fell.

Elena sat quietly in the theatre as people around her were chatting about whatever was on their minds; money, mostly. The red dress she wore was rather uncomfortable (it seemed to be the norm for form-fitting dresses) She never really liked Carnegie Hall, but her father insisted she go to the show tonight. Even worse, it was an opera. Elena hated opera. But her mother loved it. Maybe that was why...

 

Her thoughts vanished as the lights dimmed, the actors taking the stage. It seemed to be your typical opera: boy meets girl, father hates girl, tries to get her killed. Ellie yawned, checking the time on her phone as the lead actress moved to the front of the stage for her solo. Before she could begin, however, a dark cloud appeared over the audience. Suddenly, larg eblack creatures dropped from the ceiling onto the spectators, peple running and screaming. Ellena had seen these things only twice before. They seemed to be a different variety but they were definitely the same creature: the shadows. She didn't know if they had a real name. Everytime she tells anyone about them, they laugh at her. But these, these weren't funny. The creatures jumped on the fleeing people, but were they...

 

Elena scrambled back into the chair behind her. The creatures were consuming them! She summoned her Keyblade in a flash of white light, eaping onto one of the monsters. Her rapier found its mark, the blade driving through its head. The monster vanished, others turning their attention to her. This was bad. This was definitely bad.

 

Before she could attack, another cloud appeared over the stage. Another one of the shadows emerged, but this was again different: it was a behemoth! The thing had to stand at least 40 feet tall! Ellie slashed through one of the lesser shadows near her, running on top of the seats to the stage. 'Not good, not good, not good..' The thoughts raced through her mind. 'What do I do? Kill it? How?! That thing's enormous! I haven't practiced spells enough...'

 

Elena leapt off of the front row, grabbing the beast's neck. "Go back to hell! Saint Cross!" Elena grabbed the silver pendant on her bracelet, holy magic radiating from it in a cross pattern. She slammed it into the creature's face, the beast screeching in pain. It fell back, crashing through the stage and taking her with it. Elena pulled herself up quickly, driving her Keyblade into the monster's shoulder. "Why don't you die?!" The creature violently pulled itself up, lashing out with its massive arms. Elena grabbed the swinging fist, flipping over it. She then grabbed her crucifix again, driving her spell into its chest. The monster reeled backwards, clutching its wound. Elena prepared to attac again, but her opponent seemed to have other ideas: it turned tail and ran.

 

"No you don't!" Ellie chased the cripled beast throught he halls, which ended with another black cloud. "You can't escape me!" She leat through the air, plunging her rapier into the monster's back. It screeched in pain again, tumbling through the cloud into a world of blackness. The monster dissolved under her, Elena falling through the nothingness. She felt herself losing consciousness, and gave in to the darkness around her...

Brendan helped Arc up

"Sorry for that..but seriously, what do you want." He asked

He probably wants my money....

Then both of them heard a person falling from the mountains of twilight town

"Oh look another party member" (Pun!)

Brendan pointed at a tree and with his mind, he forced it to come to life as a treant and save Frost, The treant catches frost

"Thank you my friend of nature"

Brendan bowed down to the treant and so did the treant and brendan returned the treant to it's normal form, a simple tree

Brendan looked at Arc and Frost

"The hell?" said Arc seeing the Treant. Arc sees bredan looking at him. Arc leans down and picks up Frost with his left arm and jumps back, putting Frost on the ground in safety behind him. Arc summons his keyblade. "What are you?" growled Arc. A menacing dark aura starts glowing around him.

Draz finally manages to make it to the lake huffing and puffing. "Vante!" Draz yells out angrily. There is no response. The area surrounding the lake becomes darker and Draz is in a pitch black area. "You again?" says Draz wearily, squinting his eyes and looking for the figure. "Sss..Saa..Save our hearts!" cries out Dark follower heartles. "You can't be?" cries out Draz running looking up at the horrid heartless. "Hurry Draz! We can still be saved do it!" cries out the dark follower as it lifts up it's large fist and prepares to smash Draz.

 

"....Fine then but how?" says Draz hurriedly as he jumps out of the way of the incoming fist. The waters in your heart will never waver...now stand up and fight!

Draz gets up and starts to walk on top of the water, after a strange look of curiosity rings along his face. "Come" Says Draz as the water from the lake starts to wrap around his fist. The dark follower lunges at Draz and throws a powerful a dark sphere at Draz. "Its finished" says Draz as the water around him disperses and a long rigid keyblade with water flowing in the middle of its blade is formed the blade's handle is strangely similar to a katana. "This..blade is from the lake me and my friends will play in again, before this summers end! Bellows out Draz as he lifts the long keyblade out and jumps at the sphere slicing it and half.

 

Draz then proceeds to jump again, and he summons a small condensed water sphere at the tip of his blade. The Dark follower attempts to block the attack by making a cross above his head with its arms. But its attempt was in vain as Draz swings down his keyblade with one hand and a large wave of water rips through The Dark follower as Draz lands on top of the water gently as the Dark Follower disappears. "Tsh!, that was horrible" Says Draz to himself slowly as he falls down stil afloat on top of the water. Can't have you dieing here now, the others will be there waiting. The water surrounding Draz becomes light blue as his body begins to slowly slip through it Draz still has a tight grip on his keyblade, as his body fully sinks into the light blue water

!! Brendan looked at Arc's keyblade, and the dark aura surrounding him

"....My name is Brendan and it seems you have a keyblade, so do i."

Brendan said this as leaves surrounded his hand, forming a weapon

"Now this is my keyblade, it looks like a vine, with thorns, and it has a symbol of a clover on the middle see?"

Brendan dismissed HIS keyblade and picked up the bag

"And that treant you saw, it's my power, I have the power of nature since i was a little boy, My first creation was bringing a potted plant to life.."

He picked up the bag and looked at his mansion

"You 2, since my parents are away you can come inside....there's nothing to do anyways..."Brendan said

"besides the game room and lounge and the food..."He muttered to himself

He walks to the door and opens and goes inside

Frost looked at the two guys talking. "H-hi I-I'm Frost." He said shyly. "I dont know wat a keyblade is. Could u tell me about them?" He asked.

"You to huh? I thought I was alone" mutterted Arc to himself. He looked at Frost and gazing at his own keyblade said "Wish I knew." The darkness around Arc calmed down. "Brendan seems more.... comfortable with his power than I am." With a grin Arc said "Come on Frost, Brendan probably knows more... and I heard him say he has a game room." Arc bounded into the mansion after Brendan. Dragging Frost by his arm behind him

Elena shot up to a sitting position, screaming. After composing herself, she stood up and looked around. It was a quiet town, a soft sunset reflecting off of the windows around her. From what she could tell, the town was built on the side of a mountain. Trams ran all around her and she quickly realized something: she wasn't in an alley, she was in a tramway! But there also seemed to be shops everywhere...

 

Elena silently pieced it all together while wandering through the cobblestone streets. 'The trams seem to be the main mode of transportation. I imagine they also run through the mountain. There are at least people here, that's good. On the bad things...'

 

"I have no idea where I am. Where's New York?" Elena took a quick breath, marching over to one of the shops. The man seemed suprised to see her.

 

"Well, hello there young lady. How can I help you?" Ellie took a quick glnce behind the man. Rows of jewelery glittered behind him into the distance.

 

"Ummm... I'll take that one." She said, pointing to a golden bracelet inlaid with red jewels.

 

"Nice choice. You know, that's real scarletite." Elena pulled her wallet out of her purse as he turned around to get the bracelet.

 

"Quick question. Where are we?" The man turned back around, jewelery in hand and laughed.

 

"Tram Common, of course. That'll be 2500 munny."

 

Elena looked stunned. 'Munny? What?' She fingered through her wallet pulling out some green bills. "2500?"

 

The man looked at her hand, and then her quizzical face. "I can't accept that." He opened the register, pulling out a golden nugget. "Munny. You know, currency?" Elena's silence answered his question. The man became silent himself, looking down at the counter. Finally. he sighed deeply and looked uo at her. "Another one, huh? I've had a few people come by here with that same look. Here, take it." He handed Elena the bracelet.

 

"Th-thank you." Ellie took it, shocked. This was all happening too fast.

 

"Don't worry about it." He leaned over the counter, turning her around. "There's a building up by Central Station where you can stay. Just tell 'em Cray sent'cha."

 

"Thank you, so much." Elena couldn't find the words she wanted. It was... it hurt, for some reason. She thanked the man again and left before he could see the tears in her eyes. With her heart heavy and a trail of sorrow behind her, Elena made her was up the mountain.

They walked in the house, as soon as they entered, the 2 ran around inside looking at all the cool stuff

"...Enjoy..." Brendan said as he put the ice cream in the freezer

He walks in the game room and notices Hanz in the hallway

"Hanz? Why did you come back?"

Hanz looked at him with dead eyes.

"Alright? Just get whatever you need and go home alright?" Brendan said as he went inside the game room with the others

Hanz stood quiet and dead and followed him to the game room

"Uh this is Hanz....my butler....yes i have a butler....but he should be home right now but i don't know why"

The other 2 looked at him

"Master.."Hanz said with a dead faint voice

"Huh?" Brendan looked at him

Hanz put his hands on his shoulders, as his hands turn into a tentecle white form.

"I came for one thing...a heart...."

He turned into a form simmilar to a dusk, but brendan was confused

"What the? A heart? You do have one? Um.... it's....wait did you get attacked by heartless?"

He looked at Brendan with sad eyes (wait dusk don't have eyes..just zippers )

Brendan stood there and stared at him

"Don't do anything guys, i got this." Brendan demanded

Draz awakens from out of a now dark blue puddle and sees two figures running into a mansion. Draz attempts to call out to them, but he cannot summon the strength to do so. Draz looks around still slighty dazed and he realizes he isn't "home" anymore and wonders, how'd he got here and who that voice was talking to him, when he fought the The Dark Follower. Wait here help should come "There it is again" Says Draz slowly trying to fight off, sleep. Draz finally succumbs to sleep and wonders who his help will be.

"Alright then" said Arc nonchantly. "Have fun. Need help just ask. I dont really want to stand between you" said Arc leaning back on a chair. "Nice place you got. Really classy." Arc gazed out the window casually. "What-" said Arc. "Hey Frost, come out with me for a sec..." said Arc running for an exit. "Hey Brendan looks like you have another visitor!" yelled Arc. "Im confident you can handle the tentacle thing."

When he got outside he saw a figure lying in a dark blue puddle. "Hey you ok?" said Arc leaning checking for a pulse. "Well hes alive. Come on man" said Arc lifting the stranger up. "We should wait here for a sec. Brendan dealing with a tentacle thing. Hopefully no emotions cloud him..." said Arc looking towards the mansion.

Elena walked past the builing that the man Cray had pointed out. She couldn't possibly impose herself on someone else. She began to wonder where she would stay when something drew her attention. The birds...

 

The sound of rustling leaves was followed by flocks of black birds fleeing from something. "That can't be good." Ellie began to run towards the disturbance, but stopped. The dress was slowing her down. She reached down, tearing the hem of the dress up to her waist. With that taken care of, she made haste for the place where the birds fled for their lives. 'Could they have followed me?' Ellie dreaded the thought of the shadows finding their way here. And if they had followed her, then it was her responsibility.

 

When she arrived, she saw a boy lying on the ground with two more standing over him. Nothing about this looked good. Elena dashed forward, summoning her Keyblade. "You two, get away from him!" The rapier's platinum edge shone brightly in the sun. If they were responsible, they would pay.

It seems the Dusk reaches for his chest and tries to pull his heart.

"To bad, You had a heart hanz." He said

Boy that was cold...

Brendan's hand was engulfed in leaves as it forms a blade.

"Now please leave my home, and your fired Hanz"

He slashes through the dusk, making it vanish into paper..or whatever it is they vanish into...dust?

He faces Arc and Frost with the keyblade in his hand

"And thank you for complimenting my house. And another visitor? Yay i have more company!"

He dismisses his keyblade into leaves
