AnHeiressofaSOLDIER 358 Posted May 11, 2011 I've been playing Kingdom Hearts for (literally) half of my life. Of course it's my favorite! I just connect to it so well. I love the characters, the story, the gameplay, the friendships, and the bit of romance... I've just never felt so much in anything else. When I'm playing, I feel as though I really am the character on an epic quest. I feel that I can change the world. I know people complain that it's not mature, but I think it is. It's grown up with the fans, and the characters, though young, have also matured. People might argue about Sora, but I think he's matured the most. Sure he smiles all the time (partly because he's sort of forced to), but there are definitely moments that we see everything catching up with Sora. He's not as bratty or arrogant anymore. He's always been a good judge of character, but it's really been put to the test. His sense of right and wrong has also improved. For lack of better words, he's become someone we can recognize as a true hero. Yes, a true hero. The constellations on Mt. Olympus were proof of that. LOL Yep. KH is a huge part of my life. Not only have most of my friends played the games (a lot of them because I convinced them to), but I've also met a lot of online friends through the fandom. KH is without a doubt my favorite fandom in general. It's also through Kingdom Hearts that I begun to play, and love, Final Fantasy. E3 cannot come soon enough! Edit: Another reason I love KH so much is because I'm like Aqua (Kairi, Xion, and Naminé, too) and have my own Ven (Sora and Roxas, too) and Terra (Riku and Axel, too). No really, we're like them personality wise and have been friends our entire lives. However, there are flaws, some of which can be fatal mistakes for anyone who hasn't played a particular game in the series. There are a lot of games out in the world, many of which are far superior to KH. Oishii 3,987 Posted May 11, 2011 Kh is my favorite game series. I have to add, though, that if it weren't for the amazing story and having Disney, I wouldn't find them as fun. The only game I adore the fighting system in is Birth by Sleep (and you can add Re:Coded to that since they are similar). Otherwise, there is too much button mashing. Besides, there are plenty of other games out that I have enjoyed more than Kingdom Hearts. Kingdom Hearts at one time was my favorite, but over time I have seen more enjoyable games cross my path. Final Fantasy isn't really a series, but it sort of is so meh. Ratchet and Clank left me after 3, cause I didn't have a ps3 and deadlock didn't look too good. Sly cooper: great great great series, with an absolutely horrible ending to the trilogy. I also immensely enjoyed the jak series but once again, it sort fizzled out after 3. (Btw, why are those three games always together lol?) That said kh is my favorite series but it doesn't hold a monopoly over what my favorite games are.
