Lu Xun 2,069 Posted May 8, 2011 There is a traditional strategy. It is this: Be more than lvl 50, have 5 commands slots with Thunder or Fire Surges and the other 3 with Curagas. Just have equipped the dodge, block and normal jump. If you do that, he'll use an attack where he uses a "X" and you can deal damage when he uses it. You can deal damage in that time, when he finishes a tornado and in the last time when he uses the attack where he is surrounded by fire. When you get him to 2 hp bar, he'll get crazy. He'll be invisible and use two attacks at once. After that, you need to dodge until you can see him again. Just don't forget to use curagas, and you should use Aqua's D-link because she can revive you.
Destati_Dream_XIII 91 Posted May 8, 2011 Ventus is the very first character I used to even ATTEMPT fighting the Mysterious Figure. I got him up to level 99. I packed 4 Curagas and 4 Thunder Surges. I didn't use any shotlocks because MF will usually block it and heal himself.... If he throws a big X at you, that is blockable. If he starts charging at you over and over and into the air, just take the beating and cure as soon as you can (yes, in mid-air). If he clones himself, you will have to risk thunder surging and try hitting them all at once, otherwise he will not stop until you're character is in a temporary K'O and then he will kill you (unless you are extremely lucky). If he does a continuous combo, take the pain, and when you get the chance, get far away and heal. If he throws you in the air with a whip style thing....I am sorry that is pretty much game over, unless you happened to be near a wall that discontinued the attack. If he charges at you with fire, either do your best to dodge, or risk thunder surging him- just be very careful (like that is possible). Also do your best to make your surge take you PAST him, not right next to him. Once you get him about half health, he will turn invisible. You will have to use his weapon as a landmark of where he is. He will start throwing stuff that will pretty much take to to one HP, and you will just have to continuously heal. He will also combine his attacks, often causing a game over. This part is pretty much luck, and you will have to guess his location using, as said earlier, his weapons- or the slightly distorted image that will be moving, that is him. Hope I helped. Sorry, but when it comes to the MF, there is really no guaranteed way to beat him. Just make sure to have all the abilities like Second Chance and Once More and as many abilities as you can get. You are going to need them. Good luck!

Kingdom Sora 464 Posted May 8, 2011 where is a great place to level up in vens story
keystrike 145 Posted May 8, 2011 where is a great place to level up in vens story This is just me, but don't waste your time leveling up by fighting enemies. Get the abilities exp walker and exp chance then get your hp below 25%, clear all the enemies, and use tape/rubberbands on the stick so you character is running around in circles. Leave the game for a week or so and boom, your at level 99 having wasted no hours of your life. A couple more hints for this: -have treasure magnet turned off -if you do not clear all the enemies you may find yourself dead after the week of waiting -the exp is not gained for running into a wall or when the psp is turned off -check every now and then to make sure your character haven't stopped moving. Sure its a cheap trick, but it works and you aren't wasting away your life (as much).
BurnoutVII 1 Posted May 9, 2011 my strategy: RUN LIKE THERES NO TOMORROW!! GAAAAHHHHHHHH...o..wait...i killed him with terra!
Destati_Dream_XIII 91 Posted May 9, 2011 where is a great place to level up in vens story The place that I used was the section in Radiant Garden where you fought the Trinity Armor. Make sure to have Exp Walker and Exp Chance, then get your health down to under 25%. Next, pack 3 or 4 Megaflares and run into that section I mentioned earlier. Run to the center of the area, then quickly run to the edge because the Unversed should start appearing. Megaflare twice, then exit the room. Re-enter and repeat the procedure. Note: As tempting as it may be, don't pick up the prizes. It will refill your health and you will have to get back under 25% if you do, so resist temptation. Make sure you unequip all of your Treasure Magnets, and perhaps even your Lucky Strikes. Tip: During the leveling up, use a keyblade with high magic power so that your Mega Flares will be most effective. During the MF battle, you're going to want a keyblade with high strenght. Hope this helps!
Slicer9875 27 Posted May 10, 2011 To beat MF as ventus, don't equip offensive versions of dodging like ice slide or thunder roll or fire glide. Only equip thunder boost, cure boost, second chance, once more, leaf bracer, reload boost. Next equip second thunder surges and 2 curagas. If you're bad at dodging the orbs, change it to 4 curagas and 4 thunder surges. Use the ultima keyblade if possible. Lock on to him because you can keep an eye on where he is and where you are. Attack him when he does the x move. If you're not dodging, you're healing or using thunder surge. To get rid of the clones, use thunder surge. If he does the turn into some gas thing and come at you 4 times, if you have a fast enough reaction after the fourth dodge heal. If you're next to him and I mean exactly next to him, you can use thunder surge to attack. You also have an opening to heal yourself after one pendulum attack. For the orbs, dodge them or dodge them once then use curaga immediately after you get hit. Also if he does the x-blade, you can also choose to heal. Things not to do 1. Never attack him after he does tornado. He can spam it three times, reduce your health to zero and scatter commands. I know everyone says to do it but 19/20 times, i get screwed over. 2. Heal immediately after MF does raging storm. 3. Try to use thunder surge on him after he does the pendulum attack. 4. Attack MF during the orb attack. 5. Don't equip payback raid, it leaves you open and stranded in midair. 6. Try to attack him when he's invisible. Can someone give me advice on how to dodge MF with Terra? just Terra; i beat him with Ventus/ Aqua.
Destati_Dream_XIII 91 Posted May 10, 2011 Can someone give me advice on how to dodge MF with Terra? just Terra; i beat him with Ventus/ Aqua. I honestly had to go pretty offensive with Terra, mostly because if you use the same techniques as Aqua/Ven, he will die from his lame dodge. It is practically an uncontrolable dodge, so I prefered to use thunder surges. But, you still have to be careful, because unless you packed like 6 thunder surges instead of the 4 I recommend, dodging with just surges will just mean lots of waiting for the command gauge to fill. I was level 99 with Terra and still died about 10 more times before winning this fight, so I think it's pretty much luck. The time I won, the MF happened to be doing more X attacks then anything, so yay. If you're quick enough, you can block the X, and with the correct block command (HP block? sorry, forgot the name of it), you can get a free healing in the process. I would also do that when the MF would start his continuous combo attack, but you need extremely fast reflexes, seeing as half the time I'd still end up near death through the attack due to it being a failed attempt. I also have to suggest equiping Terra with his Sonic Charge (is that what it's called?) so that he'll have sort of a double dodge. It's still very difficult to control his dodges, but I personally found this useful. Just something peculiar is that I'd attack the MF during his raging storm attack, and it actually worked for me about 1/3 of the time. Depending on my luck, I was even able to not get hit a single time when I attacked during raging storm. Or, I'd end up taking a beating, then healing immediately after. *sigh* seems like it's all luck with Terra.... Another peculiar thing is that I kept dying with the Chaos Ripper, so I equiped the Ultima weapon, died some more, then equiped Ends of The Earth, died some more, THEN! *running out of breath* I equiped the Sweetstack keyblade (yes, you read that correctly, I said the Sweetstack keyblade) and I won on my second try. Not that this is a strategy or anything, but it happens to be what I won with, (thank goodness for my sweet-tooth, lol). Zenithia 305 Posted May 30, 2011 tutti frutti. Yeah, I admit that the MF is a pain for his moveset. Here is my own advice/strategy with Ven: - Have 5 Thunder Surges (I find these better than their fire counterparts for this fight) - Have 3 Curagas - Remove all abilities except Second chance, Once More, Scan, Leaf Bracer, Thunder Boost, Cure Boost, Reload Boost and Fire Screen - Dodge like your life depends on it. - Above all else ... Luck, if not a miracle(Best wishes on the fight) Dude is rediculous, the dodging should help since it gives you a quick moment of invincibility. Try to memorize his movements to help know when to attack and heal as needed. Best of luck with the fight.
