Weekly graphics and video competitions? What do you think?

KH13.com are considering two weekly competitions-- both a weekly graphics competition (where people can upload signatures, avatars and drawings of Kingdom Hearts), and a video competition (where people can upload their fan-made music videos, or perhaps some Kingdom Hearts parody). So, our question is, which of these competitions (if any. Or both?) would you be interested in, and would you participate? Secondly, would you like an area to upload videos on the website, or are you happy using YouTube? Let us know in the comments below, and we hope you look forward to these competitions.

Both, but only when I feel like it. It depends on my mood and how much time I have on my hands.

I don't mind using youtube or anything, it would be kinda cool for an area to upload videos on the website, but I don't think it would be necessary IMO.

But I would enter the graphic contest from time to time yeah, and think it is a good idea, I mean it usually works nicely on other forums after all ^.^

It'd fun to have those competitions. But I'd only participate, and rarely, in the first one with some drawings of KH characters. And about the video stuff, that'd be really great. But I think there should be some rules.. Who knows? Maybe an idiot post idiot videos.. That's my opinion. But I really think the site has become cooler with these next extra stuff.. AWESOME >8D

It would be kind of nice to be able to view the videos & stuff in one place, rather than having them submit it to one/multiple thread(s) over and over.

Sounds cool, but I'm with -Ventus-. It's kind of a "as I feel like it" thing. I would like to say that it's be nice if we had photo albums to upload our pics, though. (I was just thinking about that earlier...)

Should just use YouTube. A weekly graphics competition sounds good. I remember when we used to have a video portal. There was a file size cap of 50 MB. That is far too small. Makes me reckon we should just use YouTube.

 

I don't think a weekly video competition would be a good idea. When Aaron tried one, it was just the same few of us doing it each week. Perhaps monthly. I'm still hosting my GMV Contest of 2011 after my 2010 Contest was successful anyway.

I don't think monthly video contests would be bad. I have no problem creating graphics every week, but video making gets kinda complicated from time to time. Especially if you have to deal with certain themes or whatnot, meaning that an extended deadline would be better and not pressure people as much, as well as letting more people join before the time is up.

 

I think certain annual contests could be awesome too, such as a Kingdom Hearts character design contest or a Keyblade design contest, etc. for all of the artists we have on here. Though, thats just my two cents. Contests are an awesome way to use up your free time in.

And with summer coming up, a lot of people have free time to get things rolling. I'm liking this idea.

I would DEFINITELY participate in the drawing competition. I am actually making pictures of every single Organization member. As for the videos, I think Youtube is sufficient.

I would probably participate in the graphics contests from time to time. I would really like to make more animated avatars but I've never had the motivation. The fanart I would probably do later since I've been sticking with traditional art lately to improve my skills.
