KHRecoded Riku and Kairi's Torment?

So, in Re: Coded, Data Riku talks briefly about he and Kairi's torment. He proceeds to show a scene of Kairi and himself at the Neverland Clock Tower. He says that he and Kairi had both lost themselves and were therefore hurting. Darkness had taken over Riku's heart, but Kairi had lost hers completely.

 

Anywho, my question is: do you think Sora will somehow have to heal Riku and Kairi's torment in the new games? They seem healed going by what Data Riku said, but do you think there will be more to it? I can't imagine Nomura having that scene if it doesn't carry some weight. But how do you think Sora will save them? And why does no one ever consider Sora's pain? LOL

 

Personally, I wouldn't mind trying to save Riku and Kairi. It'd surely be different than saving VTA, and everyone else. But saving someone emotionally, perhaps, might be cool. Who knows? Maybe it would make Kairi actually important somehow. But what do you guys think?

 

And for the heck of it, do you think Roxas, Axel, Xion, Naminé, Ansem the Wise, and Master Eraqus will be saved? In what way do you think they'll be saved? As we already know VTA will be saved, you don't have to include them. But if you have something to say about them, feel free!

Edit: It’s also interesting that Data Riku says that Sora would have saved them at the end of his journey. He doesn’t say he actually did, but that he would’ve. Hmm…

No. Kairi and Riku don't have any torment and hurting. Roxas and Xion do. Their who you should be worrying about.

Theory: Data Riku's knowledge base is KH1. From that point of reference, he could be saying that at that point in time, both the real Riku and Kairi were hurting. If Data Riku does not really know what happened after KH1, he could assume that Riku and Kairi were still hurting.

Data Riku's knowlegde should be extended to as far as what was recorded of him, which should at least be up to end of the world, in which case data riku can remember that kairi got her heart back and thus wasn't hurting. The reason why riku was selected to take the journals form may have something to do with the time Riku worked under diz, and so this could add in complications to how the things that were never written down appeared in the journal. I am pretty sure that he only used himself and kairi to show sora what torment was.

i dont think riku and kairi is needed to be saved.

riku doesnt belong in darkness any more and kairi have her heart and nobody.

and i dont think ansem or eraqus needs any saving.

i have some imagining of saving ven,terra and aqua.but i cant imagine how roxas or xion will be saved.

He said Sora would've because the Sora he was talking to was the Sora before his journey even really started. Riku would know of everything that happened in Kingdom Hearts pretty much up to Castle Oblivion, so he says that Sora would have saved them. Not sure I explained that well, but do you get it? At first I thought it was to remind us that KH1 had some intensity to it to, but now it looks like it foreshadows and exploration of Riku's time in the darkness.

 

And Kairi important? You make me laugh. No, I'm just kidding, I'm sure she'll be important eventually. Actually, almost everything Sora nad Riku do revolve around that girl. And I wonder about Roxas, Namine, and Xion. It's easy to just say that Roxas is Sora and that Namine is Kairi and that Xion is just a memory of kairi, but I feel the game makes them out to be more than just that. Axel will probably be all right. Ansem the Wise can rot in Realm of Darkness for all I care. I don't care what data he put in Sora, it will never make up for anything. And I hope Eraqus makes a return of some kind! Although my brain hurts too much right now to speculate on him and xehanort and terra...argh!

 

Also, I noticed something cute about Xion, it's like she represents Sora and Kairi's love for eachother...cause Xion is made from memories of Kairi and Sora...yeah I'm an emotional sop. And what Roxas really feels for Xion is what Sora feels for Kairi...but that seems mean lol. And I don't want namine to just go back into being Kairi. She should get to be her own person! The good guys should take over Kingdom Hearts and make this happen.

Since Master Xenahort is going to come back due to his heartless and nobody being destroyed, I think that the Axel at least can come back, Master Eraqus and Ansem the Wise have no known heartless or nobodies, so I don't think there's a chance of them coming back.

 

Roxas, Xion and Namine are a little bit trickier. Seeing as how Roxas is Sora, Namine is Kairi, and Xion are their memories, it's hard to say how they can be saved (things get even more complicated of you add Ven into the picture, dont they all share the same heart? O.o)
