Razorwind Keyblade 304 Posted April 28, 2011 Are Final Fantasy characters in Kingdom Hearts weaker than they are in Final Fantasy? I've heard all over that this is true. Obviously this is true because Zack, Selphie, Tidus, and Wakka have been reduced to kids (fourtanatley this hasn't happened to all the FF characters http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/dry.gif ). Honestly, if you ask me I think that FF characters in KH are just as strong as they are in their original FF games. I don't know if Nomura has confirmed this in an interview but if he has than please give me the hyperlink. I don't know guys, what do you think. Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts looks just as strong as he is in Final Fantasy VII. But this is just my opinion. Just because he hasn't performed Super Nova in KH yet doesn't mean anything. Discuss. Rob 5,571 Posted April 28, 2011 Who even thinks about that? No, Nomura wasn't asked this question, and I doubt he ever will.
baylaust 2,531 Posted April 28, 2011 Well, the characters in KH aren't really the same people that appeared in the FF series. They're based off of their original counterparts, but are otherwise completely different characters.
Razorwind Keyblade 304 Posted April 28, 2011 Who even thinks about that? No, Nomura wasn't asked this question, and I doubt he ever will. Lots of people think about my question. I believe baylust, they probally are different people but may be equal in strength. If a fan had the oppurtunity to ask Nomura this question then I'm sure he would answer it. Gonalex 9 Posted April 29, 2011 no sora is just too much of a badass so they look like pussies
hatok 6,413 Posted May 4, 2011 Some characters, like Cloud and Squall are more powerful, simply because the games they are from are more realistic. That said, their special abilities are significantly weaker. Consider Squalls Blasting Zone Limit Break. In FF8, he creates a beam of light visible from space, and sends it crashing down on the enemy. In KH he lashes with his sword making a shockwave. Auron is more powerful as well, and Zack somewhat as well. Obviously the Destiny Island trio and the 'normalized' characters in Twilight Town is quite a bit weaker (Though Vivi does seem to be a much more adept melee fighter), and Moogles have no discernible power in KH. Sephiroth is technically just as powerful as he was in FF7, but in terms of power and difficulty he runs circles around the FF7 version.
pspgameboy 6 Posted May 5, 2011 no sora is just too much of a badass so they look like pussies He lost his chance of labeling himself as a badass once he sang under the sea in a mermaid suit, become emotional too easily at times and was more happy to see Riku again than Kairi in II. Take away his keyblade and he's nothing but weaken magic. Just because he's able to fight through combat doesn't instantly mean he's a badass. He's just a dorky hero that will help out people even if doesn't know them at times along the way while he's on his journey to find his friends. Yes, they clearly are pussies compare to him especially Auron.
hatok 6,413 Posted May 5, 2011 Anybody who can defeat a castle in hand to hand combat deserves to be called badass.
