KH3 on the Wii 2?

Anybody besides me think that KH3 might be on the Wii 2? It is being officially announced at e3 and apparently square enix already got a development kit for it. Plus the fact that Square's all about graphics and the wii 2's supposedly gonna have better graphics than the PS3.

The Wii 2 having better graphics than the PS3? You must be joking. Also the Wii 2 hasn't been officially announced. It's just a rumor. The main system that KH3 will come out on is the PS3.

Wii 2 is suppose to have better graphics than the PS3? Last I checked it's not going to be powerful as the 360 and PS3. KH3 on Wii 2? Why do that when the PS3 is perfect, not only that, but the KH team has experience on the PS3 now, thanks to Versus 13, and not only that, Nomura said he wanted KH3 on the current next gen console, which is PS3. Why would KH be on PS2, then moved to Wii 2? Not a good move. I could say more, but I'll leave it at that.

Exactly. Rob know's what he's talking about and we both have similar answers. Not only does the KH team have expierence with the PS3 thanks to Versus 13, but they might just start it after there done. This is 2011 and the days are going by faster and faster. As you can see it's already the 22nd of April and the month just stated. We have next generation consoles and I think Nomura intends on using them. Not the old generation tech but the new.

Good point. Also, since the PS3 has a 10 year life span of it, by time KH3 comes out, the PS3's price will be low, so all those people saying they can't afford it, by then, they can. Well, I'm assuming by then the Wii 2 will cost less as well, but people will more likely to buy PS3 if they want KH3.

Actually, the Wii 2 (possibly named the Nintendo Stream) has just been officially confirmed. And nintendo has confirmed the graphics will be at least on par with the PS3.

IGN says that the Wii2 is supposed to have better graphics than both the 360 and PS3 and could be released towards the end of this year, early next year. I still think KH3 will just be PS3. If they were to make it for Wii2 then they'd probably make it multi-platform, for the PS3, 360 and Wii2.

The Wii2 has NOT been confirmed. In fact, the folks at Nintendo recently said in an interview 'Not to trust everything you hear'

Obviously referring to all the Wii2 rumours.

But I AM worried about the lack of support you guys are giving. The PS3 is far from perfect, and considering how old the PS3 technology is, it's not only possible, but very likely that the next Nintendo system will surpass the PS3 (And the inevitable PS4 will most likely greatly surpass Nintendo shortly after)

It WOULD make sense for Square to make KH for Nintendo systems; they tend to guarantee more money than a Sony system.

Ok hatok has given the best answer so far. Like he said it's almost inevitable that the Nintendo Wii 2 will surpas the PlayStation 3 because it uses more up-to-date technology. IGN and Gamespot are official sources but just like hatok said again you can't believe everything you hear. And when I say something has not been confirmed I know what I'm talking about Crownkeeper.

Okay you said it's possible for the Wii 2 to surpass the 360 and PS3 right. Well, if you look at the Wii today and the 360 and PS3, you'll see a big differnce in the graphics. The original Wii came out just about the same time as the PS3. When it came out the graphics were nothing like the 360 and PS3 and IGN called it a piece of shit saying it uses old techology which it does. A lot of have sources have said the Gamecube had better graphics then the PS2 and Xbox (and I don't believe that at all owning all 3 systems right now). Nintendo did the job with the Gamecube but in terms of tech and harware the Wii was another failed experiment (not in terms of product sales). What makes you think the Wii2 could have better graphics then the 360 and PS3?. Because it's the newest system of the 3?

Actually, it just got announced the the "Wii HD" is a real console. Just got confirmed by Nintendo. And the "Wii HD" will actually be a lot more powerful than the PS3 and X-Box 360 has been. And it's said to look pretty similiar to the SNES. And it's now also been hinted that the "Wii HD" may be launching somwhere in October. Which, in my opinion, is a bad move on Nintendo's part. Especially since they just released the 3DS and are making a lot of 3DS titles. So I would doubt the "Wii HD" will make big sales on the first few days if it had came out on October. So I'd have to say it would be a little too early to launch a new Nintendo system.

 

As for this thread. Well, I'm pretty sure that there won't be a KH3 for this new Nintendo console since the KH team is clearly working on Versus XIII. And it's going to take a few years to finish it too. But there is a possibility of a new KH title for it seeing as Nomura wants at least 1 KH game for each game console. Plus, KH3 would fit so much more well for the PS3, don't you think?

 

@Rob and Razorwind keyblade, I would like to add that Sony and Microsoft are expected to make new consoles around 2013/2014. It just got announced. So once again, Sony and Microsoft may blow the "Wii HD" out of the water much like they did with the Wii.

First off:

 

1. The thing is not called the Wii 2. It's official name isn't the Nintendo Stream (that's just one of the considered names). And it hasn't been directly confirmed. Shigeru Miyamoto just said they are working on new technologies. It is highly likely the thing is in the works, though. It is supposed to be "significantly more powerful than the PS3 and 360" so it COULD handle KH3.

 

2. I think KH3 would be best on the PS3, however, this does not rule out a future KH game on the Wii's successor. Perhaps a game in the next saga after the Xehanort Saga will be on it.

So, for proof you link a video that in turns links an interview I already mentioned where Miyamoto ambiguously deconfirms the theories? It's not confirmed.

J. Severe and hatok both said that the Wii2 has not been "directly confirmed by Nintendo". Miyamoto or the CEO of Nintendo said you can't believe everything you hear. But what about the NGP? Therefore it is possible the Wii2 is real. Well, I'm going on IGN to hear about this news. And I don't think there will be a successor to the PS3 and Xbox 360 even though I would explode in excitement.

I hope not, only because I only need one console and since I have a PS3, I would rather not buy another console.

Unless I am mistaken, I believe KH has gone though a pattern so far, wherein it releases on a Sony platform, followed by a Nintendo platform (besides the mobile version) and so I hope that it will continue with that because if so KH-DDD will be on the 3DS, followed by (presumably) KH3 on the PS3.

 

I think that if the WII-II is confirmed at E3 though, KH3 will not be. the focus will be on the console, not the software and so if it is, I would guess they would announce it at T.G.S or something.

The rumor I heard was that the next Wii had a very special name, it is to be called the "Nintendo Wii Wii". Haha, besides that I doubt KH3 would be on any of Nintendo's future consoles, the PS3 is where it's at and only the PS3 can deliver such a highly anticipated game.
