got it memorized 3 Posted April 19, 2011 the heart shaped moon i believe is an artificial Kingdom Hearts. the door is the Door to Darkness, which holds the real Kingdom Hearts. the main use for the artificial Kingdom Hearts was to give hearts to the organization members, so Xemnas could continue with his plans. keystrike 145 Posted April 20, 2011 I'm sorry, but a lot of you are wrong on this subject. Kingdom hearts is the heart shaped moon, and it manifests itself into the door to darkness. Kingdom hearts is not behind the door to darkness unless you are referring to the kingdom hearts at the center of the dark realm, but this still does not make the dtd or that heart shaped moon any less capable of being a kingdom hearts. However these facts still makes depicting what that door was impossible to know for sure, as that kingdom hearts (and thus supposed dtd) is incomplete. All the information we were provided on it came from Mickey when he said "Kindom hearts, the worlds gave us this doorway. They want us to be the keepers of their destiny." All of the above is in fact, fact. That said the following is completely my own take: Because on that door lies the nobody symbol we can assume that this was an effect of Xemnas merging with kingdom hearts. If you recall, after Xemnas merged (or possibly dissapeared in/) with kingdom hearts, the door appeared that would take them to where Xemnas went. Because these doors are manifestations of kingdom hearts it lead to the same place the original form of kingdom hearts lead to that Xemnas used. In short, this door is a manifestation of kingdom hearts, but because of its change from Xemnas, it took on a different form than the dtd, and it acted as a way to where Xemnas went in the same way Xemnas used the moon to go to that place. The real Kingdom hearts is a heart shaped moon as well and is thought to be somewhere beyond the door to darkness, as Ansem tried to get to it in Kingdom Hearts 1. To answer the original question, the moon shaped heart is the artificial kingdom hearts. The door that appears leads into this kingdom hearts. The one you saw in KH1 wasn't exactly the real deal. It was the Door To Darkness that was built to look like Kingdom Hearts. Well, actually, I think that Kingdom Hearts was supposed to be within the Realm of Darkness, somewhere beyond the Door to Darkness. The True light within the darkness, if you will. However, this hasn't been explicitly confirmed, and will probably be explored later in other games, namely BBS Volume II (or whatever it will be called-something darkness related).
