lockshield 1 Posted April 14, 2011 I think the reason they are dressed up in their KH1 clothes may be because of the training they are going through for the Mark of Mastery. If anybody watched Dragon Ball Z, you may remember the hyperbolic time chamber. For those of you that don't know, this chamber allowed people to train inside for years and only a few hours or so would pass by on the outside. In KH: 3D, Sora and Riku may be doing the same type of thing, except they are traveling through their dreams and training as they go along. This would also explain why they are able to do all of those flashy moves as seen in the and why Riku has an acid trip and sees 50 Soras flying through the air. Training like this would allow them to progress much faster, as they don't really have enough time to set out for another adventure to train while Master Xehanort is getting ready to come back. Not sure if this has been said yet, but those are just my thoughts. Kind of a noob... 1 4Everbee reacted to this
raixan 0 Posted April 14, 2011 ...That completely makes sense. o_o It goes perfectly with the 'Dream' in Dream Drop Distance.
Rob 5,571 Posted April 14, 2011 Though it is not confirmed yet, if you put 2 in 2 together, it's obvious it's in a dream, plus with Yen Sid being a Wizard. Yes, there have been threads about this. It's ok if you're new, you didn't know.
rikunobodyxiii 700 Posted April 15, 2011 Ah, They start off young in the dream (if KHDDD is in a dream) and age as they go through training, only to awake after the dream maybe a couple of hours. I think it works.
soraisventusandroxas? 0 Posted April 15, 2011 I can see that happening...
Iamkingdomhearts1000 1,170 Posted May 13, 2011 they might be in their old clothes because that's the proper age they were meant to take their Mark Of Masteries's at but never did or could.
rikunobodyxiii 700 Posted May 14, 2011 they might be in their old clothes because that's the proper age they were meant to take their Mark Of Masteries's at but never did or could. I don't think so because of Terra and Aqua. They were as old or older as KH2 Sora and Riku.
X-blade'sChosen 2 Posted May 15, 2011 i think its to represent how they must grow up in the dream to face the challenges ahead of them if they are to save everyone connected to sora and as they age in the dream, they will gain knowledge previously not known to them( terra being xehanort, vens heart being inside etc.) but thats just a theory
TokyoMystify 4 Posted May 30, 2011 Well kh has always been ambiguous, never giving a direct answer. So, it can be called a dream, but more than a dream I feel it'll be like discovering their true self, fighting their inner demons, finding inner peace, etc etc..... Most of their hardships were faced when they were that age, thus the reason of why they look that way, Riku falling into darkness, sora fighting something he had no knowledge of. I could be over thinking this, and the answer is simple and closer to yours. I also wonder if it'll be acceptable to pass the mark of mastery by controlling darkness. I mean, for some reason I see Riku achieving this. Or maybe they become the true masters and control darkness and light alike? Sora striving for darkness and riku for light? So many firetrucking paths lol.

So many firetrucking paths lol. It might be possible for Riku to pass using darkness as you said... Although Eraqus was against any form of darkness whatsoever, he was a flawed man. He was so scared of darkness he would even kill an innocent to remove it. This is why Terra failed, but remember how Xehanort preferred darkness? I think he even says that Terra might have passed under him. There's no reason to assume he was lying here (though he was no doubt manipulating ) Anyway, it seems likely each master looks for different aspects and has different rules for the mark of mastery exam. (and I suspect Yen sid is purely a twilight kinda guy he does live near twilight town after all!)
ekat2000 0 Posted June 6, 2011 but if they just went back in time

OblivionRider 50 Posted June 12, 2011 Believable and makes sense. Although they really can't go into themselves to see Notre Dame... But that's what a wizard's for.
SoraKH 793 Posted June 12, 2011 somewone sid that ddd is going to be based on riku and sora's dreams from the past! So they are wearing their old clothes! I'm not shure if this theory is true but i say what i was told!
Mog 97 Posted June 12, 2011 Wait. You can't dream something new. Your dreams are always made from your memory and things you've seen before. Sora never visited Notre Dam. I think it's more virtual reality than a dream.
