Black?Rock Shooter: The Game?

This is sort of old-ish news, but hell nobody's made at thread so yeah. <8D

 

B?RS was once just an image developed into a famous Vocaloid song turned into a somewhat popular anime. What's next? Obviously a video game. You can see the song that was sung by the Vocaloid Miku Hatsune, and written by ryo here:

Now, Kazushige Nojima who took part in the development of Advent Children, and The Last Order, Final Fantasy VIII, Final Fantasy X, Kingdom Hearts, and Kingdom Hearts 2 will be writing the scenario and Kazuya Niin? will be directing the project. The game is said to combine role-playing game, shooting game and third-person shooter game elements. Its release date is on Summer of 2011 for the PSP in Japan.

The game, however is set in a different universe to the Anime that was released. More info:

The remaining inhabitants on Earth are given the responsibility of the Earth's safety from the invaders, until the awakening of Earth's ultimate weapon against the invasion. As you can see by the second trailer, BRS's antagonist will be White?Rock Shooter whose outfit is based off of BRS.... .

So what are your thoughts? Does it seem good/bad? Would you buy it? If no and it will be planned to be sold overseas, would you consider then?

 

I'm kind of undecided myself. I'm a fan of B?RS, but the game looks.... It certainly doesn't look amazing so far in my view but I might consider looking into it if they re-released it overseas in English... but I still don't know. It still does look a little bit interesting.... o3o

Unlike some people that shake their heads at the odd setting, I anticipate this game. It's got people that worked on Final Fantasy on the development team. Plus, Grey (BRS' sidekick...?) intrigues me. Her name makes me think that's she's somewhat neutral, and will be on BRS' side as well as against her, or something like that.

I highly doubt it, but I really do hope that it'll also be released outside of Japan. ._.'
