Amon 4,279 Posted March 16, 2011 I just remembered how epic that show was. I friend of mine gave me the first season on DVD and I watched the whole thing twice over the course of a month. The gist of the show is about 3 Cartoon Characters from the 1930s who were locked up in the Warner Brothers water tower for being well, animated maniacs. (they didn't exist in the 30s FYI it's just a back story). They escaped in the 90s and went on many enjoyable adventures as they ran around WB studios and fictional and existing places around the world. The show was basically a variety show that ran for 22 minutes and was made up of short 5 to 10 minute episodes about various characters that appear in the show including the famous Pinky and the Brain. There were also a number of songs, most of which educational, the most popular being Yakko's Nations of the World song. That show was epic and was enjoyable for adults as well as kids which is what made it so successful (1/4 of the viewers being over 18 ). The Nostalgia Critic even placed this show as Number 2 on his top 11 animated shows. Animaniacs got cancelled in 1998 but I remember reruns being part of Cartoon Network's regular programming up until around 2002.

I liked the ending of the Presidents song. "The next president might be you one day! Then the press will distort everything you say So you jump in your jet and fly away!" It is unbelievable true.
