Space Cowboy 1,392 Posted March 8, 2011 This is something I've been thinking about for a long while, I might as well post it now. I've noticed that while Sora and Xehanort do not have an actual physical connection, they do share one. Let us roll back to BBS to start this off. The Connection + The Theories As we all know, Xehanort's being is composed of three different hearts, and he those three hearts stayed within him until he became a Heartless. Surprisingly, this does connect him to Sora. During the end of KH1, when Sora uses the Keyblade of People's Hearts to release Kairi's heart from within himself, he technically had as many hearts as Xehanort had when he became a Heartless. Interesting huh? Sora becoming a Heartless resulted in him becoming a Shadow, and two Nobodies being created. Wouldn't Xehanort technically have three Nobodies then, some people may ask. The answer is no. Since Master Xehanort's and Master Eraqus' bodies were presumably destroyed, it would be impossible for them to have Nobodies. However, it hasn't been said that the soul can be destroyed. So where would MX and ME's souls go since they don't have a body to house them? Their armor. These could be the substitutes for the two Nobodies. One more thing to point out. Before Xehanort fell to darkness, did all three hearts inside of him merge, or did they set free? If they did merge, this would make Xehanort literally one person made from three, giving him the right to wield three Keyblades, correct? When Xemnas gained some of his memories back, I assume he must remember his internal conflicts with himself (Terra and Master Xehanort). So what if he knew about himself being able to wield three Keyblades? If he did, here are the possible reasons I didn't choose to use any of them. Firstly, Terra's Keyblade might be currently inaccessible since it is currently being wielded by himself, technically (the Lingering Sentiment). Master Eraqus' Keyblade may be inaccessible due to Aqua currently wielding it or, Xemnas/Terra does not feel worthy of wielding that Keyblade, since he "murdered" his master. And Master Xehanort's keyblade definitely would be a no-go, because Terra's main purpose is to resist MX. That's about all I've got for now, feel free to post your thoughts and feelings. Cricket 1,180 Posted March 8, 2011 This makes sense because when Master Xehanort was taking over Terra's body towards the end of his story, Terra's armor responded after the control because at the time Terra's body and heart were freshly under MX's control and the conflict must have been too great at that moment that his soul in turn responded. This is extremely interesting.
TerraRedeemed 255 Posted March 8, 2011 You have good points up until the talk about the soul. The soul as stated in the secret ansem reports not in so many words, are essentially a person's life force. Eraqus has been eliminated and it is assumed that his heart passed on to Terra instead of returning to Kingdom Hearts. Also, from my understanding it has been implied by Nomura that whatever remained of Terra stayed with Riku once Xehanort's Heartless was blown out of him. That being said, i think the case of Master Xehanort possessing Terra was different then Sora's case. It would seem that the two hearts joined rather than merely accompanied each other, despite Terra's efforts to keep him at bay.
::Heart_XIII:: 2 Posted March 8, 2011 I really like that connection you pointed out. Instead of connecting the two though, I think it makes an excellent contrast of the two. With Xehanort, the hearts were possessed forcefully. (Since Eraqus' heart was with Terra at the time of MX taking control, it can be said it was obtained by force along with Terra's.) But with Sora, the hearts were sort of willing, for lack of a better word. They were not taken by force; they chose to be with Sora, just like how Eraqus chose to be with Terra. Strife 0 Posted March 8, 2011 Although i really liked ur theorie and it really makes good sense i dont think that the armor are the vessels of their nobodies. Because a nodoby is made of the body and the soul. Usual nobodies do have their memories from their somebody life so i think (if im wrong prob here) that the memories are within the soul. Because they dont have a heart so they cant be there and the body is pretty unlikely isnt it? Xemans had some memories of terra and as well some of xehanort so maybe the souls merged or something else happend but it doesnt seem that they went into the armors. keystrike 145 Posted March 10, 2011 The parallel you identified between Sora and Xehanort definately seems more than likely and seeing about how little we really know about how Terranort "split" another Xehanort *cough mf cough* seems very likely. If souls are like the batteries of a person, I would presume that is what gives the lingering sentiments "life" (; as for heartless walking around, I would presume that it is merely the nature of darkness to search for the light, like a river going downhill). Some other part would have had to make it into the armor for this theory to work be it emotions or memories so the new being would have some sense of identity. Mysterious_Figure_Vanitas 3 Posted March 15, 2011 Very well thought out. This could explain why their armor appeared as secret bosses in BBS Final mix. Although I read that Nomura said that those bosses were recycled data, he could be pulling our legs.
