Why did they cancel these shows?

Recommended Posts

-sigh- Really dude? I'm sorry, but that's slightly pitiful of you. I also did not come up with that off the top of my head, or I would not have bothered posting.

Kim Possible used to be huge at my school, and I remember seeing commercials all the time, and now it's cancelled, right? Then I've never even heard of Doug. House of Mouse was basically the same situation as Kim Possible. They may've also needed room for new shows

Its pituful of you to come here and give me an answer to my question when you don't even know what Doug is. Anybody besides you feel free to correctly explain my question. And "I guess their not popular anymore" wasn't the answer I was looking for. So I guess you can leave thread.

I really have no desire to start a fight with you, lol. Don't get all pissed, dude. Not cool.

I feel they are not popular anymore--even Disney I believe recognized this. There were commercials for that big Kim Possible cellphone mystery at Disney World, but soon the series was cancelled.

Dude.

The shows had to end because:

1. Decline in Popularity.

2. They had to move on to the next fad to gain money.

There might have been a large group of people who liked said shows, but the general audience needed something new, and thus they decided to switch the time slots with something that would probably get more income.

Don't get up on Lexi for not knowing what Doug is. She's giving a short answer that is probably not far from the truth anyways. Geeze, don't get so serrious.

There were kids who attempted to imitate Naruto by burrying their friend in a sand box, which was obviously inspired by one of Gaara's sand attacks. His friends didn't pull him out in time and he died in a hospital.

I do believe the same thing is a money problem, most good shows do come to an end because of that. CN had cancelled Toonami to change to a cheeper alternative, because they were having tough times with money and the cost to licence the show most likely didn't pay off as well as they hoped. Adult swim also handled some Anime and they might not have seen use for another block for it.

Razorwind, Lexi answered your question to the best of her ability, insulting her and calling her 'clueless' is just plain rude, okay?

And basically, she was right.

Shows are cancelled due to decrease in popularity and/or budget problems.

And "I guess their not popular anymore" wasn't the answer I was looking for.

If you were looking for a specific answer...why did you bother to make a thread in the first place? lmao

Shows are usually canceled to due low ratings/popularity. If very few people are watching a show, why should they keep airing it? TV companies need to make money; I'm pretty sure they don't give a crap about a couple people being upset that they're favorite show was canceled.

They were cancelled because a giant bat came to the producers. The producer began to see the mystical powers of the bat, and began to worship it. The bat everntually gave them commandments one of which was to cancel every show that you love. And they all lived happily ever after.

Yep, lack of popularity. BTW does anyone remember Bananas in Pajamas? I watched that as a baby. I just don't know why it was canceled, tough.

awww, i watched it every night!

some shows don't get cancelled, they just decide they've gone on for long enough (eg. full house) and decide to stop and start on a new show.

But yes, Because of decrease in popularity is usually the answer

shows like soap (old show, sitcom) got cancelled in the middle of a season, there was a huge cliffhanger on the last episode, and the answers were never known.

Pushing daises (quite recent, comedy) also got cancelled in a middle of a season. they had a regular episode, then at the end (assumingly when they got told they were being taken off the air) they tried to sum up the main plot in about a 1 minute segment, leaving lots of minor plots unfinished.

Disney had an unwritten poclicety to get rid of shows after they go on for 65 episodes. I don;t know why , then agian look at new disney. they compeltly suck. also -Ventus- has a good point just like lexi does. Decline isn populariy, and becuase they wanted to make new fads to get our money.

Doug was one of my favirte shows as a kid. it wasn;t that they needed soemthing NEW. new but somethings jsut have to end at the rigth time. shows liek 7th Heaven,Smallville, good ten to evelen years.

Hey, don't get all cranky at me dude. I just want my question to be answered so if you can't answer it than leave. Thank you good sir.

1. She's a girl

2. She's trying to answer your question. Don't be so nasty. Even when you were being rude she still tried being nice. If you tried to pull that with some of the people on this site they will troll you into oblivion. Especially me.

Ugh, what is with all the newer members these days?

Hey stop acting like such a dildo cause she never heard of Doug its like 20 years old and its been off air for ages. All Lexi said was an obvious truth.

However seeming you want moar details

1 budget, combined with lagging views after a few seasons means the show becomes less financially viable.

2 competition, that show that got cancelled had to fight for its audience until something better was on.

3 creative differences, ego and greed, the hierarchy disagree with content or where the show's going for example and this can spiral into cancellation.

So pick 'n' mix a reason and stop acting like a dildo

Seriously? Calm down. She gave a great answer. No need to be so harsh. And I don't even know what Doug is either.

Now to your question, it was probably because the popularity of the shows deceased and they canceled them. Not so hard to figure out.
