Why the heck does Braig mention Ventus so much when they only met once in the keyblade graveyard? I mean, he had the most interaction with Terra, right? Do you think Braig met Ventus before the events of BBS?

No, they only met at the Keyblade Graveyard. However, Ven must have left an impression, as he could see Xion as Ven, and was reminded of the look Ven gave him when Sora glared at Xigbar.
