Lu Xun 2,069 Posted February 20, 2011 When he attacks you directly, use reflega two times and attack until he vanishes. He'll eventually attack you again, so reflega again. if he's far away, approach but not to much and use block or reflega. After taking five bars, he'll begin to use the balls of darkness, just use reflega on it. When he uses the fire wave, press square until he stops. He'll eventually become more strong but you just keep using reflega, when he goes higher, attacks him or he'll draw your MP and almost every of your HP. Meteors are really the worse thing. Use reflega until you can and use once more and Second change, if you manage to survive, use curaga. Keep doing this until you defeat him.
Keyblader 325 Posted February 20, 2011 The Preparation: First things first, you will definitely want the Once More and Second Chance abilities when going into this battle, so if you do not have those, level up enough so that you get them, the levels at which you get them vary based on which weapon you chose as Roxas out of the three weapons on the Awakening Platform. Next you may want to have the Ultima Weapon, if you don't have that, it might be a good idea to get it since it has good range, balanced strength and magic, and the Magic Hastega ability. Next, make sure you have all your Drive Forms Leveled up to Level 7, that way you have the advantage of the fully leveled movement abilities. If you don't have Final Form, go to Olympus Coliseum and fight in the Cerberus Cup (I believe) and keep using Master Form until you suddenly turn into a strange new form where two Keyblades are floating behind your back and you are hovering above the ground. That is Final Form. When trying to get it, start off each match by using Master Form. If your form is still the same or it is Anti-Form, exit out of the match and try again. If your Drive Bar is empty or not entirely full for some reason, then just go into the very first of the Tournaments and then exit out the first chance you get, and when you are back to being able to explore the world your Drive Gauge should be full again. So once you have gotten the necessary abilities (Second Chance, Once More, Aerial Recovery (And I believe there is an ability that lets you perform a counter attack after recovering from an attack that sent you flying, if so, then equip that one as well), High Jump [Acquired from leveling up Valor Form], Quick Run [Acquired from Wisdom Form, not very necessary, but sometimes can be useful], Aerial Dodge [Acquired from leveling up Master Form], and Glide [Acquired from leveling up Final Form] and whatever other abilities you want) and leveled up all four of the Drive Forms to Level 7 so that you can have the movement abilities you can get from them at the highest level, as well as having the Ultima Weapon, you are just about ready to take on Sephiroth. There is just a few more things you should do. First, make sure you have a good amount of Elixirs, those will be helpful for you. Then it's time for important shortcuts. The things that I recommend shortcutting are these: Elixirs, Cure, and Reflect. Now the two forms of magic probably won't be at that skill level, most likely higher. If you haven't gotten your Cure magic to Curaga yet, then I would recommend finishing The Hundred Acre Wood because once you do that you will get another upgrade for Cure and an Orichalcum + which you need for the Ultima Weapon. Now as for where you should place the shortcuts, that's up to you, just what ever is most convenient, but my recommendation would be: (Cure_ X Button) (Elixir_ Square Button) (Reflect_ O button) The fight: The first thing that Sephiroth always does is start off with a reaction command, so always be prepared to press the Triangle button when you start a battle with him. Do your best to avoid most of his attacks, the only attack I wouldn't recommend dodging is when he knocks you into the air, because that gives you the opportunity to pelt him with a combo. When he does, recover in the air and hit him with all you've got, you might even be able to get in two combos in the air. I wouldn't recommend trying to attack him on the ground unless you have just performed the reaction command that he uses and have a large amount of HP left. Now if you see him start rising in the air, you want to attack him if possible, because if you don't you will be drained of all your MP and down to one of your HP (I don't actually know if it normally does that or if it will kill you if you don't have Once More and/or Second Chance equipped). If he can use that attack, he will follow it up with his reaction command attack, so plan for that if you can't attack him. At some point he will begin to summon dark orbs and a pillar of fire which sucks you in. This is where Reflect will come in handy. For the pillar of fire, you have two options: 1. Use some means of escape such as Glide or simply running (I believe that works) or 2. Be drawn into the pillar and spam Reflect, as the barrier shatters and deals damage to Sephiroth. For the orbs, you will have to use Reflect as well. I've never really understood them other than they charge you at Sephiroth's command, but I believe that the shattered barrier fragments of Reflect can send some (If not all) flying in another direction, so I'm not sure exactly how to handle those, I haven't fought him for a while. Finally the last thing you need to be concerned about is his Meteor attack. This is where Glide will come in handy. Just keep gliding from one side to the other, but don't expect to get out of this thing without taking a few hits, it's bound to happen. Now if you can figure out how to stay alive for the battle and take advantage of times where Sephiroth leaves himself open to attack such as when he is preparing his One Winged Angel attack or after he uses his Reaction Command attack, you should be able to take him down, but like some other people said, it may take a few times, so if you keep dying don't fret, just keep trying, but I would recommend that if you die, load from your last save (Which I would recommend that you save in the Cavern, the place with the closest save point to his location) so that if you have any items that you used, you don't end up loosing them and have to get them back again. If you can manage to beat him, the most powerful weapon (Strength wise) is yours, Fenrir, with 7 Strength, 1 Magic, and the Negative Combo ability (Good for Mini Games that require you to do things in a small amount of hits.) If I messed up on some of the stats, would someone please be so kind as to correct me.
Slicer9875 27 Posted February 20, 2011 Like what Keyblader said. Make sure you have long combos and maybe the pumpkin keyblade because of increasing power of combos. Also, don't commit your strikes like pressing x before Sephiroth randomly vanishes. Also use the principle of martial arts, keep an eye on Sephiroth at all times and hit him before he casts ultima. ::Heart_XIII:: 2 Posted February 20, 2011 I highly suggest leveling up your drive forms completely before taking him on so you can get the highest level of the abilities for normal Sora that you get from them. Here's why: High Jump (from Valor form): Must-have for reaching him when he uses his "Heartless Angel" attack (the attack in which he drains you completely of your health and MP). Also good for dodging. Quick Run (from Wisdom form): I found this mostly useless, but it can be used for dodging. Ariel Dodge (from Master form): Helpful for when you can't reach him when he uses "Heartless Angel". Another ability for dodging. Glide (from Final form): Dodging. Especially useful for when he uses his meteor attack. Other suggestions: - Be at least a level 50. - Other must-have abilities: Aerial Recovery, Combo and Air Combo Plus; Combo, Air Combo, and Reaction Boost; Item Boost, MP Rage and Haste; Defender, Guard, Retaliating Slash, and as many combo abilities as possible. DEFINITELY HAVE SECOND CHANCE AND ONCE MORE OR "HEARTLESS ANGEL" WILL BE AN INSTA-KILL! - Healing: Have a crap-load of hi-potions on hand. As much as you can carry. And be sure to have them on a shortcut, along with Curaga. - Never miss a reaction command. EVER. - At some point he'll start using dark bubbles against you. These can be hit back at him. If you are unable to hit them back, they will home in on you, and you'll have to dodge them with a jump or Quick Run. - You might want Ultima during the fight, but you can do without it as well. - If you die a lot, don't get mad; it's to your benefit. The more you retry, the more familiar with him you'll be. After a while you'll be able to pick up on a pattern. Use that to your advantage. At least that's how I was able to beat him. Results may vary.
hatok 6,413 Posted February 20, 2011 Just use Trinity Limit.
Zenithia 305 Posted February 20, 2011 tutti frutti. It helps to have glide(Final), the double jump(can't think of the ability name you get it from Master Form), and high jump(Valor). It's good to have elixers, if you don't have any High Potions help too. After you do the first reaction command you should be able to attack him after that. After you get your first series of blows in, he will do a series of attacks, you can guard or use reflect. Every so often Sephiroth will create pillars of flames, you can avoid them or use reflect to cause damage to Sephiroth. If you get knocked up by him, use the retaliate slash to counter once your in the air. Sometimes he will do a meteor shower, you can use glide to avoid this move. Every once in a while he will be in a high point, saying a chant while one of his hands are glowing, double jump and glide to him and MAKE SURE YOU HIT HIM, if he finishes this move he will drain your magic and leave you with 1 HP, if you hit him before he finishes it will cause him to stop the spell and leave your health and magic where they are. Occasionally, Sephiroth will summon black orbs, you can knock them away with reflect. When Sephiroths health is around 4 bars, he be surrounded by darkness and his moves will become a bit faster. Hope this helps.

Keyblader 325 Posted February 20, 2011 Level all the forms to max , Relflect (ga) , Bresek or whatever it called that make u attack without finishing attack , at least lvl 30 hope that help a little Berserk is one ability I wouldn't recommend. If you are at his last bit of HP, you can't kill him if you don't have any MP, so that means you have a greater chance of him killing you, I remember having that on in one fight and it took me forever before I could actually kill him. Press X then Square it will give a hit that kill the boss You're saying that there is an attack if you press Square while in Berserk Mode? I'm gonna have to go check this out. Edit: I tried doing what you said by attacking a Nobody and then hitting Square and nothing happened, so either I didn't do it right or you are just making stuff up. The only thing I could think of relating to what you mean is doing what you said in the reverse order. So I am going to assume you are saying to block an attack and then hit X to counter it, supposing I have the ability.
