hmmm, well armor's armor, i'm sure it helps somewhat with fighting. But it could also be a placebo effect. The title of Master alone doesn't really do anything, but to Sora and Riku, it could be a source of strength. Although they may not gain any special powers (of that we're unaware), just being a master alone gives them more courage to fight. Idk, its kinda hard to say. I'm sure we'll find out more next game.

As Eraqus put it, Masters are entitled to certain knowledge

As G.I. Joe put it, knowing the half the battle.

Although at this point, Yen Sid would probably give them the knowledge anyway with everything going on.

And honestly, I don't believe the title is necessary. The Master Qualification Exam is, in my opinion, merely to see if the candidate has what it takes. Terra was not a titled Master, but he was qualified, and he had nothing special from it. Nor did Aqua.

Thinking of when Aqua became a master, this could be Yen Sid's way of

1- testing their skills

2- Strengthening them.

3- Making sure they can handle certain information, which he'll bestow(sp?) upon Sora and Riku.

Being a keyblade master is just something that's part of being a keyblade master. It just shows that you are prepared for anything that might happen and that you are a really strong keybkade user as well. Yen Sid wanted Sora and Riku take the mark of mastery test mainly to prepare them on what lies ahead on their next journey. And to see if they are strong enough to take on enemies such as Master Xehanort.

Thats cuz TAV got unluckily dropped in 1 of the 2 only KH games without a happy ending, and it looked f**kin boss for the most part. They'd make good drive forms in the future imo. Actually scratch that, heres to playing all of KH3 with armor on (Y)

Being a master does give some sort of benefit, Eraqus and Xehanort both seem to have more powers than TAV, and Xehanort mentions only masters can release hearts (When talking to Braig)

I don't know about you, but being the MASTER of a type of weapon is probably a good thing.

In the end, The Mark of Mastery is the Graduation of Keyblade wielders. It doesn't mean that your better than you were before. It's a badge of honor bestowed on those who are skilled in wielding the keyblade and protecting the worlds from what would do it harm.

Mastery = Awesome Armor.

I have no problem with it =)

I don't think that becoming a Master means you get armor. If Sora and Riku get armor, it would most likely be that Yen Sid gives it to them cause he thinks it will be useful for what ever they have to do. That could happen before or after the Exam.

Well, I think that at this point Sora and Riku might not be quite as powerful or as adept at using a keyblade as Terra, Aqua and Ventus were. Wihle they have definately proved themselves to be very powerful, there are probably still things they need to learn, even if its just abilities of the keyblade and not actually getting stronger. It may also have to do with their hearts or something. And it will probably not just be about them becoming masters.

Actually, the armor pretty much protects you from being consumed with darkness. So I wouldn't really say it's all that useless.

Yes, being a master does give you a benefit. It shows that you are strong enough to handle yourself and that you're prepared for anything that might happen. Which is why Sora and Riku are going to become keyblade masters, they are both strong enough to take the exam. It's also to show that you are skilled with using the keyblade and you are worthy enough to protect the worlds from danger.
