KH1 Trinity Mark Theroy

Recommended Posts

Okay, I'll admit this is a moot point but...

Ever wonder if there was a story related point to the Trinity Marks

Where did they come from?

Who put them there?

What was their purpose?

Why don't they appear in any other games?

Why are the colors so similar to Drive Forms?

Why can only Sora, Donald and Goofy activate them? and

Why is the Trinity Detect (White Trinity) pose the same as the final stage of Trinity Limit in KH2?

Well I have and here is my theory.

We know Mickey, Donald, Goofy and Sora where in Traverse Town at the same time because Mickey tells Data Sora "This is the day your journey began. I know, because I was there too."

So I think Mickey first went to Leon and said "Some o' my buddy's'll be comin' ta' town lookin' for someone with a key. Could ya' help 'em out pal?"

Next he visited Merlin and asked him to teach the new Keybalde Weider about magic.

When he left the Magical House a C.o.D. opened in front of him (as the stability of Traverse Town due to its nature as a "composite world" as well as it possibly existing in the "Realm Between" would likely sometimes cause them to randomly open) and, being that he needed a Keyblade from the Realm of Darkness, went through it not knowing that his allies where fighting a large Heartless just a few feet away. When the smoke cleared Pluto caught the scent of his beloved master and followed it into the Darkness.

We also know that at this time Organization XII was already active and possibly using Sora even then, opening C.o.D.s to come and go as they pleased.

"WTF does this have to do with Trinities?' you might ask. Well as only users of darkness and Nobodies can open Corridors its likley that Mickey is unable to summon them himself. Now, lets "assume" that all CoDs go through the RoD and have 2 exits in different worlds (like a subway tunnel) and that some a=my accentually have 2 exits within the realm itself. Let's also assume the Org is aleady aware of the young upstart with a keyblade and are even now using him to gather hearts. Isn't it possible that, rather then being in the RoD the whole time, he may have, on occasion, stumbled into a CoD that connected to a world Sora and the others visited thiking it woul go to another pace in the RoD?

My point, is that perhaps Mickey left the Trinity Marks in order to help Donald and Goofy (especially Donald) learn to better co-operate with the key bearer. After Mickey met the party at the DtD, he figured if they made it that far the they had obviously learned the value of teamwork and, more importantly, the power of friendship so the Trinities were no longer needed. This could also be why a new ability was unlocked after a scene invoving the friendship of the trio (The first meeting, after Donald and Sora make up in Deep Jungle, after the Hercules cup when Sora tells Herc that his strength comes from his friends when Donald and Goofy defy the kings orders and side with Sora even though Riku still had the Keyblade, ect.) As for the other stuff I mentioned maybe the similarities are due to the fact that the bonds that allowed them to work where cultivated by said Marks.

Srry this was so ranty but if you made it this far thank you. So what so you think. Ideas? Opinions? Agree? Disagree? Please discuss and feel free to share your own theories if you have them.

good theory, but I think it was just a little side-quest to get 100% comppletion in the game

Then why not include them again hmm?

You said story related, not fun side-quest, read your own post :P I'd be fine with it being a little mickey sign on the ground again, in fact, I welcome it, but not a story thing, it has no importance whatsoever to the story and would be complete nonsense if it was story related......sorry, but it's true

Where did they come from?-

Friendship. Or something stupid like that

Who put them there?-

A wizard

What was their purpose?-

Bonus items

Why don't they appear in any other games?-

Because KH2 (The only other game where Sora Donadl and Goofy all appear actively) is much less about exploration than KH1

Why are the colors so similar to Drive Forms?-

Because the Drove forms themselves are representative

Why can only Sora, Donald and Goofy activate them? and-

Because it's a Trinity Limit. You need three people. Have you ever seen three other people try to activate them?

Why is the Trinity Detect (White Trinity) pose the same as the final stage of Trinity Limit in KH2?-

Because they're both the final part of something trinity related? All the pose represents is them combing their powers.

Hm...you do realise that Kingdom Hearts is partly owned by Disney. They probably did a Mickey head just for the heck of it. Square probably agreed because there are three circles in the Mickey head. Three-Trinity. Oh, and I'm afraid to say that hatok completely powned you.

Wow, you really thought this out. This really seems possible, and I commemorate you on the organization of your theory as well as your points. It would be interesting if this was true, but I wouldn't be surprised, and it makes a lot of sense as well, nice work on making it.

Where did they come from?

Square Enix

Who put them there?

Tetsuya Nomura

What was their purpose?

Something to look for and collect

Why don't they appear in any other games?

Because they weren't that exciting

Why are the colors so similar to Drive Forms?

Because Drive forms are upgraded trinities

Why can only Sora, Donald and Goofy activate them?

Have you ever seen a trinity mark in an FF game or Disney film?

Why is the Trinity Detect (White Trinity) pose the same as the final stage of Trinity Limit in KH2?

Maybe they wantedto use it again?

This is just like asking why they put Grandstander or Struggle in KH2.

Tetsuya Nomura did not put them there. The programmers and graphics designers put them there. I highly doubt Nomura had anything to do with the inclusion of trinity marks (Unless h secretly plans to use them as a plot device, which could easily happen given KH's track record)

I for one loved the Trinty Marks. But they were most likely put in the game as an extra or bonus for fun. They have no importance to the series what so ever. And one of the most likely reasons as to why the Trinty Marks arent in KH2 is because of Trinty Limit and Drive Forms. And there were alredy enough things on screen during KH2 so I'm sure they don't need more to complicate things for themselves. KH3 will most likely be out on PS3 and when it does you can expect to see Trinty Marks in it.

Or, it could be from the worlds barrier protecting them from the heartless shattering. Like the gummy blocks. Destiny islands is just an island off the mainland so it not to likely that any would land on that small island. When the worlds were restored and the barriers replaced, the marks vanished.

No. I think someone must have put them there. But like i've said before it has nothing to do with the story.

A little late to be posting this, but i started playing through KH1 again and remembered this. The one problem i can find with the theory of mickey putting them there is that many of them lead to dalmatians, which would mean that mickey was secretly kidnapping dalmatians, or at least holing them after the darkness separated them
