xinname 1 Posted February 13, 2011 I can't tell if I have mental problems or if life is just giving me really sucky lemons. Half my family has depression, but my mom refuses to take me to the doctor. I think her mind's too preoccupied with her own problems, and having to deal with my horribly depressed dad. I feel this horrible feeling of sadness, but I almost feel guilty telling my mom anything about it. I just feel like I'm in a giant glitch in life. I'm trying really hard to be optimistic but it hurts keeping it inside I'm sorry to bother you guys.

VANiTAS INCARNATE 1 Posted February 13, 2011 I can totally relate to you. My life has gone very downhill the past 7 months. My grandfather who I was very close with died in June a week before Father's Day and 2 weeks before my birthday. And in December my dog died the day before new years . On top of that there have been major problems in my family regarding mental health and alcohol. But I gotta keep my head up because I have to stay strong for my loved ones. Don't waste your time spending money on a therapist unless its that serious. If anything you should be open about it with only your closest friends and your family. In fact, have a sit down with your parents and discuss how to handle this. If theres a sad vibe in your family you should devote your time to bettering it. Or just sit back and enjoy some Kingdom Hearts lolololololololol (I hope that cheered you up a bit)
Kinode 3,056 Posted February 13, 2011 I know how that is. I've felt a little like that too. Thank god, I'm the only "depressed" one in my family. Honestly, if you don't have mental problems, you're just like that and your life is like that, you don't need a therapist, talk to your friends and us about it, we'll all help. You're not a glitch, in fact, there ARE no glitches in real life. Because nothing was programmed, everything depends on everyone's actions. I'm sorry for you. but you have to move on, and forget these problems /failsatadviceonceagain
xinname 1 Posted February 13, 2011 It's nice knowing that people care . I love my dad, but he gets really really angry over stupid things. I want to move out, but I don't have a job, and the average appartment around here is $500 or more a month. but then I worry about my mom being with my dad all alone. I know he won't hurt her, but just being around him makes us feel depressed too.
Kinode 3,056 Posted February 13, 2011 I have like, 600$. Wanna borrow? You have to get over it. My dad gets angry at stupid things too, and I think he's becoming a little alchaholic. it disgusts me, really, but I'm not moving out because of that. They're your family, you should stay there for them, maybe even try to cheer THEM up.
TerraEarth 0 Posted February 13, 2011 My brother had a problem with depression. For a while, he was really boring and got angry alot. Plus, he cried like once a day. But he started going to youth group. SO maybe that can help you. Find a local church and God will help you.
