When my mind moves so slow. ...This isn't just a phase And you only gave me a single taste Like a drug This new nicotine Why does it taste so sweet on my lips? Addictive and clean Is this what it means to have true meaning? I haven't found anything better That is why I wrote this letter. And no longer am I weathered You were one of my most treasured Our bond was severed By my own blade My own storm of lies With this new heart My love I will tie To the ground With ropes to many to count Like a Rider My loyalty I will mount. Forever the same As if a stone My heart is tamed To you I have shown My heart as if concealed inside a frame Our friendship is the opposite of shame. You know your name Is a beautiful claim One that aids my heart so stained. If you do not understand why I named this poem "Unbreakable."
