KHBbS What I'm Hoping To See in BBS Vol. 2 (SPOILERPALOOZA)

I could not be more pumped for Birth by Sleep Vol. 2. Here's what I'm hoping to see:

 

 

We still get to play with the same three characters in BbS, only with a twist. Terra's story would be as Xehanort, meaning we would have the option of playing as Xehanort, in Radiant Garden, doing work for Ansem the Wise, traveling the worlds to help him conduct studies, and eventually conducting the experiments with the other lab assistants that create the Emblem Heartless.

 

Aqua's story would take place in the Realm of Darkness and discover the scourge of the Heartless being drawn into the world by Xehanort, and somehow Mickey would learn this (as well as Sora's ties to everyone) from her, hence his departure and letter to Donald in KH.

 

As for Ven, my best guess is he remains in Castle Oblivion. Remember, in 358/2 Days, Axel was ordered to locate the Chamber of Waking, so I would assume somewhere around KH2 Ven's still in there. Maybe his journey would have to do more with memories and the Realm of Light.

 

Since Vanitas is no more, I would guess this is when Unversed stop popping up and the Heartless make their debut. Makes sense, considering Terra-Xehanort and Aqua's probable storylines.

 

I suspect during Terra-Xehanort's storyline, more will be learned about Lea and Isa. After all, there must have been some reason they not only got consumed by the darkness, but retained their human forms as Nobodies.

 

Speaking of which, hopefully we'll learn the human forms of the other Organization members. I know they didn't necessarily all turn into Nobodies at once, but they've got to have SOME background worth knowing about.

 

The formation of End of the World and The World That Never Was. Somehow I suspect they're connected to the influx of darkness that occurred after Xehanort's experiments.

 

The formation of Traverse Town, which I believe was created after so many worlds succumbed to the darkness.

 

How Xehanort sent Kairi off to Destiny Islands, leading to his discovery of Sora at the top of KH.

 

Whew! That's a lot of hoping!

 

Here's what I suspect will happen timing-wise: 3D will be released towards the end of 2011, BbS Vol. 2 will come out mid-2012, and KH3 will come out in 2013. Given what we can guess about KH3 already, it's fair to say BbS2 will be the last background we need before Sora and Riku take on Xehanort's final incarnation.

 

Lemme know if you think I'm on the money, wildly off, overthinking this, not thinking this enough, if I left anything important out, etc. I'm just really excited for these next few games in the series!

I think the release dates are a little off because seeing how they have just started to develop KH3D it will take more than a year to develop as they started development around september and don't forget that some of the osaka team went to develop the extras in BBSFM so that may slow development slightly in some areas. Nomura also said that he wanted to really make a good KH game on the 3ds, as it was announced as one of the first group of titles for the system at E310. Also 3D is a main game so they will put as much time as they did on KH1, KH2 and BBS so thats around 3-4 years (so a possible late 2012 or early 2013).

With BBSV2 I think theyll release it around 2012 or 2013 as they can re use the engine for BBS for the PSP as soon as they find a development team to do it (cause the others are developing Versus 13 and 3D). And for those of you who think it will be on the newly announced NGP, I think it will have zero percent chance as Japanese developers tend to stick to consoles that ensures that they won't lose any money (especially square-enix) and with the NGP the development teams would have to remodel the characters in HD when they can just use the original models with BBS for the PSP.

 

Finally KH3, we've all dreamed that it would be released early but in actual fact it doesnt look like it will be released anytime soon. I predict a 2015-16 as the team has to finish Versus 13 which is said to be released in 2012 so as I previously mentioned for 3D it will take around 3-4 years (maybe even longer since its KH3 and fans have been anticipating this inevitable sequel ever since the release of KH2) as Nomura will probably want to end the series in a spectacular finish. I almost forgot to mention that KH3 hasnt even started its concept stages which is shame but lets keep our fingers crossed that these games will all be released much earlier

Hey, Xehanort didn't bring Kairi to destiny Islands. It was Aqua's spell. If she ever got in trouble, the magic would sent her to a place where someone (Sora) could protect her.

Actually, it was Aqua's spell that put Kairi's heart in Sora when DI fell to darkness. I believe it was stated in an Ansem Report that Kairi was sent to DI by Xehanort, who was calling himself Ansem.
