Harry Potter's 1-7, plus 7 part 2, plus Hogwarts Quidditch game, plus Lego Harry Potter, so KH has a little competition here lol, 10 games vs 9

Final Mixes don't have different stories. only extra bosses, and the Final Mixes are the cannon games.

Maybe, but, the tittle makes it look like you're talking about only the first game. I think you mean the longest SERIES.

Kinode the Final Mix's have more then just new boss battles, it also has better graphics for II, and there is also always new cutscenes, bug fix's among other things.

 

 

Final Fantasy is much much much more longer then Kingdom Hearts. As Final Fantasy has been going on for decades. It's been released on every console except for maybe the Gamecube.

Y'know, I've never played a Final Fantasy game in my LIFE! Heck, I didn't even know what that was until I found out about Kingdom Hearts. The closest I've come to a FF game is "Final Fantasy XIII" which my own brother played right here in my own house, but never even let me play it! I:( But anyway, though KH might not have the most games/longest story in a video game series, the storyline is no less heartwarming, and it dumbfounds me how folks can say the handheld games (BBS, Days) are useless when they lend so much to the series and have a beautiful story.

the majority of the final fantasy games each have their own storyline, so the numbers don't really matter in that case. if you're looking for games that follow a general storyline all in one saga, then yes, kingdom hearts is one of the longer ones out there, if not the longest.

Final Fantasy is what I think is the longest RPG series.

 

However there are other genres that have many more games. Metal Gear solid has quite a few, not just main titles but spin offs and handheld versions as well

In the sheer amount of games, then yes. If lifespan of the entire series, no. Two works; Duke Nukem.
