jmcmillan317 0 Posted January 31, 2011 I don't know if anyone has posted anythink like this but anyways. According to Nomura in the Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Ultimania, he says Sora can weild two keyblades because he has Ventus's as well as his own. If this is the case, then why didn't whenever MX took over Terra's body to become Terra-Xehanort, use two keyblades in the fight against the Lingering Sentiment or Aqua? I understand that Nomura probably just wanted to have Xehanort just use MX's keyblade, I just wanted to see what everyone else thought.
Oblivion Keyblade Master 0 Posted January 31, 2011 MX probably didnt think about it or know about it just like sora in kh1
Kinode 3,056 Posted January 31, 2011 Interesting. It is because Ventus didn't have anything left on him, this way keeping his Keyblade inside his heart. Terra got to keep his Keyblade through the Lingering Will.

Well apparently that ability was awakened for Sora when Xion merged with Roxas, though yes, Ventus' heart is the cause of Sora's Dual Wielding Ability, but I'm not sure why Xehanort can't/doesn't, though technically [minor spoiler since the game has been out for a while] he should be able to triple wield because of Eraqus' Heart being there as well. rikunobodyxiii 700 Posted January 31, 2011 I agree that it is possible that Master Xehanort didn't know about wielding two keyblades. There is also the fact the Lingering Sentiment uses Terra's keyblade, and that Xehanort could use both because of that.
keystrike 145 Posted January 31, 2011 Hmm, well Sora's second keyblade did have to be unlocked for him him to use it so that might be the same case with xehanort. Terra's heart might have also been fighting back.
Chronomagister 152 Posted February 1, 2011 The reason Terranort uses 1 keyblade is because he has MX's keyblade (obviously), and Terra's keyblade is used by the Lingering Sentiment, while Master Eraqus's Keyblade is used by Aqua.
legendkiller222 22 Posted February 1, 2011 The reason is not because of keyblades or Sora could not use two because he does not have Ven's keyblade. The reason is because Terra's heart was resisting being used by Xehanort after Xehanort took over Terra's body. Unlike Ven who willingly allowed Sora to use his heart. Sora was never suppose to use the keyblade therefore by the time he awoken through events that happened (Roxas and Xion) he most likely became worthy of using a keyblade. the ultimate 0 Posted February 1, 2011 sora can use 2 keyblades in drive formes and also xehanort engulfted terra's heart nearly completely

This pretty much sums it up.
Kinode 3,056 Posted February 1, 2011 Actually... in the true Final boss... doesn't Terranort use Terra's Keyblade Cannon? And he uses it with TERRA'S KEYBLADE. WTF.
NumberXIII.Roxas 64 Posted February 1, 2011 Let's think about it for a minute. When Ven's hearts went to Sora it stayed inside him ALONGSIDE his own heart, proven by how it stayed in Sora's body to create Roxas. As for Xehanort, Terra, Xehanort and Eraqus' hearts all became one heart (Eraqus inside Terra inside Xehanort) so he basically only has one heart, leading to one Keyblade, whereas Sora has his and Ven's seperately. I think they just weren't willing to take the time to actually redesign the look of it. I'm not sure why, it just always looks like that no mater what Keyblade Terra is using. (I know u were talking about Xehanort.)

Not true. In Blank Points it is stated that they do have separate hearts, they are all just concealed within Terra's. My guess is that the reason Xehanort couldn't dual wield is because MX originally had a keyblade of darkness whereas Terra's keyblade was light. Both Sora and Ven share keyblades of light and that probably explains why Sora can dual wield and Xehanort cannot.
jmcmillan317 0 Posted February 4, 2011 I like this theory that MX couldn't use two keyblades b/c Xehanort had a keyblade of darkness and Terra's keyblade was light.
