Well, you have a really good theory. I mean, it could be possible seeing as SE loves to make references. So it could happen. But imo, I think they are illusions created by Yen Sid like I have stated before.

Because he did the same illusion affect for Mickey back when he took the Mark of Mastery in BBS. So it would make much sense to have Yen Sid pull all this stuff off.

Exactly. We do not know the extent of Yen Sid's power, but we do know some things he can do, and we also know that he is a retired Keyblade Master, which means he must be very strong.

Well It's probable, but LOOK you guessed it so easily!!! I think Nomura it's preparing something even deeper than that, something more confusing. Also I think everybody is thinking that the mark of mastery exam it's too important and like in BBS it's not more than one little part of the game. Nomura confirmed it. So we don't know exactly what Nomura is planning. But I'm sure he's gonna surprise us, AS ALWAYS. 8D

Last I checked, the MoM test takes place during the first half of the game, but it's never said that it IS the first half. And I ask you this, why would Yen Sid opt for a much longer variant of the MoM test then Eraqus if the entire point of him doing it was to make Sora and Riku masters as fast as possible?

It's true that it hasn't been stated, but it's almost implied, and makes the most sense given what we know. We know that the first half is the MoM, we know a little about how Yen Sid does his MoM exams, and we know that after, Sora and Riku get new outfits. So, with what we already know, it's safe to assume that what we've seen so far, is the MoM test. Especially since nothing else has been mentioned about the game. We don't even know what the last half of the game will be. Also, why would they tell us half of it is about the MoM, but don't tell us the other half, and then show us footage of the game if it wasn't what we were told about?

You actually can't say that this was indeed Mickey's MoM, because it was never mentioned afterward. This could've been just training.Mickey ran off before he was to take the MoM, and after aiding Aqua in her battle against Venitas, gave Yen Sid back the Star Seeker and Star Shard, with his head down,ashamed for running away and thinking he failed, Yen Sid gives him back the keyblade with a nod, and Mickey holds it up high. So Yen Sid, after witnessing what Mickey did to help the keyblade trio, deemed him a worthy Master, hence giving him back the blade. This would seem the most plausible theory. In short, him helping TAV and the worlds was indeed his MoM.

Still though, you were kinda trolling, no proof that Mickey was indeed engaged in the MoM at that particular time, as he could've easily been training. Would Mickey not have reacted hugely when he failed the book balancing, aka what you think was his MoM? If it was really his MoM, Mickey would've shown more emotion because he failed.

After BBS was released, in an interview, Nomura stated that Mickey was taking the Mark of Mastery when he was in Yen Sid's tower riding the book on water. If you read it, then you would know.
