so FFXIV has crafter jobs and for the world first race the teams have their own hired teams of crafters and they are super serious about this. We have a crafter too but unlike the world first guilds we pay our crafters with Gil. World first guilds pay them with shittons of gil and also with real life money (they can't publicly say this though because real money trade is banable)

I did something similar in WoW a few years ago. They paid me $200

WoW is even crazier regarding all this stuff

the teams have their own programmers that develop mods for the boss encounters while the teams are working on the bosses

and what they basically do is working on mods that solve the mechanics for the teams in the easiest possible way

FFXIV can't do this because mods are banable

WoW fully appreciates this shit and it's disgusting

the team with the most money and best players wins

which is why it's always the same 3 teams that compete against each other

if you don't have an esport organization behind your back you have no chance
