the surpirse about rebirth will be that everything happens like in the og

that's also why they are gona end the game at this scene

losing a party member mid story is always shit from a gameplay perspective

If Sephiroth is Advent Children Sephiroth his ultimate goal should be to ensure that Aerith survives

my expectation is that Aerith will reveal at the end of Rebirth that she has to die

and someone else probably has to do the job instead of Sephiroth

it would have such an insane emotional impact if you go through this entire game and experience all these moments with the characters and then Aerith reveals that she has to die and asks someone in the party to kill her

and maybe some people in the party know about it due to the flashbacks in the singularity but they refuse to talk about it

also Sephiroth basically forcing the party to do it by themselves is way more cruel than what he did in the og

I hope this scene finally hits me in Rebirth because the og unfortunately didn't

but that's probably because black materia and the weapons follow after that and it's hard to top these scenes
