Someone pointed out that the one guy in the trailer who talked about a dreamworld could be one of the Gi and they could technically use it to connect the entire story with the lifestream and sephiroth 👀

The lack of Sephiroth is a huge part of what makes him work

And I understsand that he's more well known to the general audience thanks to Smash and Kingdom Hearts and just pop culture in general

But they could have absolutely still pulled it off or at least used him less

And it would work so much better

And the only reason Sephiroth is the final boss in remake is for fanservice

And as fun as that fight is

the issue with that fight is

now that they have done it once

And now we are most likely fighting him again in Rebirth and then again in part 3

At least part 3 should have Saferoth

Like just move the boss from the office to the highway and I would be happy

I don't really care if someone prefers the original or remake

I myself do love a lot of what Remake did, and it seems like I will be with Rebirth too

But to say one is better than the other is just stupid because they both do things that work and doesn't work

Remake changing things is not necessarily bad. all that matters in the end is if the change is meaningful and makes sense

e.g sephiroth can appear more often as long as it works for what they are going for imo

I think an example of that one is the first time he appears in Remake

It does feel abit dumb to just show him off right

But the idea I had that he was mocking Cloud with stuff from his past does make it work much better

As in Cloud's moms last words for him to runaway is what he said there

I honestly didn't expect that Nibelheim in Rebirth would be the first controversial thing I experience and it was only the demo
