Movies798 1,358 Posted July 3, 2023 Love it! Especially the story and characters (especially Clive, Jill, and Joshua). SoraDaxjer28 263 Posted July 6, 2023 Truthfully, I could do without the excessive cursing, which felt unnecessary to me. That, and the blood was a little too overdone. I also found the long corridors in each area to be rather confining, and I do not get claustrophobic around objects and nature in real life. Aside from those touches, I have enjoyed the story so far. Spoiler I particularly liked how Cid's character seemed to take after a combination of Robin Hood and Captain Hook from ABC's "'Once Upon A Time'". Although I still have a long way to traverse through the game, I am sincerely looking forward to seeing how the story unfolds all the way as I continue through it. What I do know about it and have seen played of it by others though just feels like more of the same old same old from Final Fantasy and other JRPGs with a modern day coat of paint. But at the same time if it ain't broken don't try to fix it IMHO. I'll probably play it for myself eventually, but I'm fine not picking it up just yet. Especially if it's gonna get put through the customary song and dance of the currently available release of it being a base game that gets expanded on somehow.
