?? Belle of the Boulevard ?? {A 1x1 with SuperPunk}

Demyx walked upstairs to his messy room, trying to find a CD. Unfortunatley, he only had that Meg&Dia CD that they got him for Christmas. A lousy Christmas gift indeed. With nothing more to put, he popped the CD into the player and sat on the couch, drowning in music.

Strangely enough, the song that played reminded him of Namine.

Demyx heard a faint knock at his door. What the...

He turned the volume down from his stereo and walked towards the door. Probably Axel. But he doesn't knock. He bangs. Demyx turned the knob and his eyes widened.

"Namine? What are you doing here..?" He looked around outside his door. He hoped that blonde fianc

Demyx snorted. He didn't mean to but he just couldn't help but laugh. He leaned in the doorway and smiled at her.

"Honestly, I don't remember giving you my address." He gestured towards the street.

He didn't know what to think. Was it sweet? Or creepy? He just met her but... To him, she was great....

"How'd you find me?"

Demyx smiled. He leaned close to her face and smirked. Maybe he'd come up with a good pickup line.

"Well, hello there."

Roxas could only think of one word. Nathan. Nathan Nathan Nathan Nathan. She was going to kill him. But he didn't know where to start looking. Next time. Next time he'll get him.

Demyx couldn't believe his eyes. What the....

"HOLY SHI-"

Demyx caught her in mid-fall. He didn't know what to do. A fainted girl on his doorstep? What would people think? Quickly, he took her inside and up to his room. She could rest there until she wakes up.

Demyx had been quietly listening to Coldplay downstairs. He was waiting for the girl upstairs to wake up. It kinds of made him chuckle to think of her as Sleeping Beauty. Then he shook off his infatuation. She was going to be married for Christ's sake. What the hell was he doing thinking of someone like her like that?

"Demyx!"

He jumped and ran upstairs. He opened the door to his room and looked around. "What's wrong, Namine?"

Demys sighed, immensly relieved. He thought she was having a panic attack or something. Demyx reached into his pocket and pulled out his cellphone.

"Uh...It's about... 2:30."

He thought about offering to drive her, but that was out of the question. If he wasn't home when Axel was home, he'd get it. And by it, he meant a faceful of fist.

Guilt ate away at Demyx as he watched her get her things. Should he drive her? Axel would be mad... Let's see. A stranger's happiness or his own health?

He hated himself for the choice he made.

He got his keys from the downstairs table and opened the door to reveal the outside.

"Namine. Let's go."

Demyx put on an unsatistied face. But, he spun his keys around his finger once and then stuffed them in his pocket. He shrugged and held the door open for her.

"Well, if you think you can make it home, alright. Wouldn't want Roxas to bust my head open or something." He gestured himself getting shot in the head but then laughed and sighed. "But yeah.... Bya, Namine."

Sorry for late reply. ;;

"Yeah," Namine laughed nervously, and gave a slight wave. "Um.. I'll.. maybe I'll see you tomorrow?" She prompted, adding in cautiously. "Maybe at the park again? I tend to hang around there to draw at four-thirty.." Before she fainted again from nerves, Namine quickly spun and speed-walked towards home. Towards the awaiting fury of Roxas. She didn't even remember to stop at the supermarket, but right then, she was a little too excited to care.

"Kay." Demyx answered weakly, watching her leave. He closed the door behind her and sluggishly walked back to his room. Quickly, he fixed the sheets and covers. He didn't want Axel to see a messy room. Believe it or not, the redhead was a neatfreak.

After cleaning, he walked downstairs again. Demyx sat in the loveseat across the TV. He looked out the window and into the sunlight.

"Four thirty, huh..."

Namine pushed the door open as quietly as she could manage. It squeaked, giving her away. Instead, though, Roxas was asleep on the couch, oblivious to his fiancee's entrance. With a small sigh of relief, Namine slipped upstairs as quietly as she could. She felt quite high--she'd agreed to meet Demyx again. It all seemed to secretive and forbidden, and to goody two-shoes Namine, that was reason to woop. She'd been quite brave, in her opinion. "See him again tomorrow.." She murmered thoughtfully. What would she even say? After showering, changing, and sliding into bed, she had one of the best dreams she remembered. Little did the boy that later trudged up to sleep with her know he wasn't in it.

Demyx layed down on the couch, listening to his iPod. He heard the door lock shake and looked. The blazing redhead known as Axel walked through the door and looked at him with emerald eyes. Demyx smiled. Surely the redhead would cheer him up.

"Hey Axel! What's up? Beautiful day isnt it?" Axel just raised an eyebrow.

"What have you been smoking?"

As soon as Namine woke up, she felt an odd sense of excitement. As much as she.. *ahem* loved her fiancee.. it was never too fun with Roxas around. He was still passed out when she woke, reeking of alcohol. Namine changed into the same clothes--but washed--that she'd worn yesterday. She'd never had trouble choosing clothes before. But with the thought of seeing Demyx, she wanted to impress him, but not seem overdramatic. So, in an attempt to assure herself she wasn't going to look like a fool regardless of her words, she decided to wear the same outfit.

Namine cooked breakfast as slowly as she could. That clock needed fixing. Could it really be ticking that darned slow?

In the morning, Demyx was in the kitchen with Axel. They had bought some food because neither of them wanted to cook this morning. Demyx would doze off and Axel would probably burn the food. As Axel sipped his coffee, he looked at Demyx.

"We're having Luxord and Xigbar over tonight so can you clean a bit before I get back from work?" Demyx nodded. He never like Xigbar over but Luxord was pretty cool. Some card games here and there gave him of lost him money. Axel walked out of the door and Demyx put the foam plates in the trashcan. As he cleaned, he felt as if he was forgetting something...

Namine waved halfheartedly as Roxas left for work that morning. Though he saw her, he didn't return the gesture, instead slamming the door shut behind him. Namine winced at the sound, but she quickly continued with her daily chores. Soon enough she'd be able to.. er.. see Demyx again. Nothing more. Just friends meeting. Plus, Roxas couldn't interrupt this time, his being at work.

With a smile, at exactly the appointed time, Namine plopped down on the bench she'd sat on yesterday. She'd had to shoo away a few little crying children first, but, oh well. They could find another bench--Namine needed this one. She practically bounced out of her skin, barely taking her eyes off of her watch. 'You're an adult' She reminded herself. 'An engaged one, at that. So what are you so excited about?'

When Demyx finished cleaning, he actually started to pay attention to the song his iPod was playing.

Down in a local bar

Out on the Boulevard

The sound of an old guitar

Is saving you from sinking

His eyes widened as he remembered what he was forgetting. In an instant, he bolted out the door. The park. He needed to go to the park. Why? It was because of that girl. The girl that made his heart beat fast.

Namine.
